  • "We had a lovely week at Rose Cottage."

The generous welcome pack was lovely and much appreciated. Thank you John and Lorraine. We enjoyed visiting the surrounding area, towns and the lovely harbours nearby. The little cove just a short walk from the cottage was delightful. If I could suggest a small fan heater for the sun room to quickly heat it. Due to the cold we didn't really get to appreciate this lovely space. We were toasty warm in the rest of the property.

Thank you for your feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a radiator in the sun room which does heat it but perhaps not quickly enough. Property Owner

Had all the comforts of home, an ideal base for exploring the various attractions in the area. To be honest it was a real shame the day we had to leave such was how comfortable we felt. A short walk from the cottage brings you to a small private cove, very wet the day we went, but nevertheless enjoyable. Would highly recommend this cottage, you will not be disappointed

The property was very well equipped with everything you could need exactly where you expect it to be. Its location is perfect for that "quiet getaway" feel, and the decor fits perfectly with that relaxing vibe. The owners were friendly and helpful and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Even The Northern Lights showed up and put on a magnificent display right over the garden - although even Lorraine and John couldn't arrange that (probably!) It was a genuinely lovely week.

Rose Cottage is a fresh, bright and welcoming holiday retreat, a real 'get away from it all', where visitors will appreciate the unspoilt scenery with its rugged coastline.

Ideal for a family, couples or friends, this immaculate and tastefully presented cottage has three generous bedrooms, a contemporary shower room and well-equipped kitchen.

The sitting room with dining area has comfy settees and is a sociable room for relaxation at the end of an active day.

Double doors from the sitting room lead through to the sun room which is a lovely sunny area to enjoy the countryside views.

A well-kept garden surrounds the cottage and is a great place to sit and soak up the views whilst enjoying a morning cup of tea.

The village of Lybster is just two miles north and has good local services including pubs and shops.

The harbour is central to Lybster which was once a busy fishing port and today boats still fish there for lobsters and crabs.

Visitors will enjoy the quiet roads leading north and a drive to the top of the UK, where John o' Groats is a must.
