  • “Excellent cottage in great base for exploring cairngorms and highlands, 3 hours to John o Groats, 30 mins to Inverness.”

Cottage rooms are lovely and larger than look on photos, fully enclosed rear garden with patio and clothes drying area, fully enclosed front garden. Pets welcome and it was perfect for our Jack Russell, small tesco, aldi and coop in Aviemore but pretty well stocked, 3 chippys, best one only 5 min walk away, nice walk by golf course 5 mins away, we saw a wild deer watching us. Railway goes past rear of cottage, but not often. Top marks, we would definitly stay here again.

The property

Located centrally in the vibrant town of Aviemore, this smartly presented semi-detached cottage gives easy access to all the excellent facilities that Aviemore and the surrounding area have to offer.

Set in a quiet residential street, this cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends who want to enjoy the amenities and wonderful scenery close by and be able to walk to the restaurant and pub in the evening.

With accommodation all on one level, there is a tastefully-presented sitting/dining room where visitors will be happy to relax after an active day, and a well-equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared with ease.

There are two bedrooms; one double, and one twin.

On a summers evening, the private rear patio is ideal for a barbecue or quiet pre-dinner drink, and an added attraction to this cottage is that the famous steam railway passes by the garden a couple of times a day!

As one would expect there is so much to see and do here, whether you are a walker, wildlife lover or thrill seeker.

For children and adults, the nearby wildlife park at Kincraig is a must-visit attraction, and the Landmark Activity Centre in Carrbridge will entertain children for a full day at least, with its water slides, climbing wall and wide selection of rides.

For outdoor pursuits, cycling, walking, fishing and sled dog racing are all available close by, and for watersports the Loch Insh Watersport Centre offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and river trips.

So much to do, and such a welcoming cottage to return to at the end of a fabulous day!
