Tucked away in the stunning Scottish Highlands, on the NC500 Route, is this charming ground-floor apartment, The Garden Flat.

Situated within a listed building, Ardullie Lodge, a dwelling that used to be visited by The Queen Mother each year for lunch on her way to The Castle of Mey, this apartment is a superb setting for a small group of four looking to get away from it all.

Upon arrival you will be delighted by the stunning building coming into view as you travel down the driveway, and even more so when you discover two off-road parking spaces just for you!

Enter the apartment and immediately feel welcomed by the charming entrance hallway, before turning right into the well-presented kitchen that contains all the essentials for you to create your favourite meals, including a very handy dishwasher!

Continue through the property into the homely living/dining room and warm yourself up by the woodburning stove as you wait for dinner to be served; enjoy an evening meal at the dining table and catch up with your group about the exciting things you have gotten up to during the day!

When it's time for bed, your sleeping arrangements will be satisfied as both rooms contain zip/link beds; the super- king-size bedroom has its own woodburning stove, perfect for some extra warmth and ambiance, while the twin room has French doors that lead out to a shared, enclosed garden.

Dingwall is home to an abundance of historic buildings, specialty cafes that boast local produce, and a railway station that connects you to the wider area of the Highlands.

For a fascinating day out without having to travel far, take your group to the Dingwall Museum, Dingwall Castle Doocot and Alchemist Gallery where you can learn about the rich history and artwork of the market town.

Outdoors enthusiasts will take pleasure in the town's array of first-class fishing spots, golf courses, watersports and cycling; if you're looking for something more extreme, why not try Bubble Football at Dingwall's specialist site, or climbing up Moy Rock?

Travel north to the town of Invergordon and embark on its famed Mural Trail, a walking route that takes you through the quaint streets surrounding the port, and past many breathtaking murals that depict the town's history.

The attractive market town of Dingwall is situated at the head of the Cromarty Firth and has a rich history dating back to Norse times. The town today enjoys an excellent range of services and facilities and its pedestrianised main street boasts a generous range of speciality cafes and charming small shops. Why not follow the Dingwall Heritage Trail, a walk that will take only 1 1/2 hours but will provide a wonderful insight into the history of this area? Close to Dingwall is the Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer, which is well worth a visit, or perhaps take a short drive to Chanory Point where the Moray Firth Dolphins are quite often seen jumping close to shore.
