The property

Muir of Ord 3 miles.

Approached via a single track driveway after passing through wonderful farmland is the converted outbuilding, The Bothy.

Housing two guests, this cottage is superb for a couple looking to explore the stunning glens throughout the ‘The Black Isle’ within a romantic setting.

Open up the stable door to discover a wonderfully appointed dwelling, oozing a welcoming charm.

Lounge around during a winter’s evening in front of the woodburning fire, where you and your loved one can curl up on the sofa to catch up on your favourite TV shows.

Beyond here, you will find a well-appointed kitchen featuring all necessary appliances, including a washing machine.

In here, you will also find a music system, where you can select your favourite CD to enjoy whilst taking in the charming countryside views, beaming through the patio doors.

After a busy day exploring the idyllic Highlands, retire to the double bedroom promising a peaceful night’s sleep.

To appreciate the views further, throw open the patio doors to enjoy a refreshing beverage within the patio area before stretching your legs upon the spacious lawn area.

If you fancy an evening out, head into the village of Muir of Ord where you will find a selection of pubs and restaurants, in addition to a shop for picking up for holiday essentials.

Whilst staying here, you can visit the fantastic Glen Ord Distillery Visitor Centre and sample the 12-year-old single malt whisky.

Alternatively, you can take a leisurely stroll along the Beauly Firth, visit Beaufort Castle or simply explore the wonders of the beautiful scenery ‘The Black Isle’ houses.

The Bothy is a superb destination you will want to return to year after year.

Beauly 2.5 miles.

The small Highland village of Muir of Ord lies close to the Beauly Firth and is conveniently situated for easy access to towns such as Beauly, Dingwall and the capital city of the Highlands, Inverness, some 15 miles to the east. Another major attraction is the Glen Ord Distillery and Visitor Centre, a 5 star award-winning visitor experience, which is open all the year round and well worth a visit. Muir of Ord has a pretty high street and good hotels, and just a few miles away the town of Beauly offers a quality shopping experience where visitors can find the finest Scottish tweeds, knitwear and crafts as well as a number of intimate restaurants. The whole area known as ‘The Black Isle’ has some of the prettiest scenery in Scotland with stunning glens where flora and fauna abound. Glen Affric, a National Nature Reserve, has been called the most beautiful of all the Scottish glens, and is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists with quiet tracks leading you off road and deep into the glen.
