    “North of Scotland Gem”

We have just returned from a lovely weeks break at this fabulous house, I must say we were sad to leave. The upstairs lounge has a wood burning stove and a large balcony with breathtaking views out to sea and across to the hills, it is truly a spectacular view. The kitchen is lovely and has a large dining table and also a breakfast bar to seat a large family, there is everything you need to add to a meal when cooking or home baking, which we did a fair bit of while there. ...

In fact I even baked a cake which I haven't done in years. The welcome pack was a lovely extra with shortbread, chocolate, jam, oatcakes and also a lovely bottle of wine. I love this kitchen it also has amazing sea views. Also on this floor is a shower room with a pebbled floor. Downstairs there is the master bedroom with a king size bed, walk in wardrobe and an ensuite which has a sunken spa bath and also a w/c and a shower, this was the room that was ours for the week, it was so comfortable. There are another two bedrooms, one with a King size bed and one with two singles, these two rooms have duel access to a shower room with w/c and wash room. Also on the ground floor there is an large lounge which is great for relaxing and watching a movie on the large screen. There is a large cupboard in the downstairs hallway that has loads of toys to keep your little ones amused. There is also a laundry room and a drying room too. This house truly is a home from home and has everything you could ever need, it's the best holiday rental that we have had the pleasure of staying at, Jamie and Tina the owners have thought of everything. There is also a large garden surrounding the house, which has a lovely decked area to sit out in, our dogs loved spending time in the garden. Jamie's parents live in the house next door and are a lovely couple who are always on hand if you need anything. Golspie is a lovely friendly village, and there is plenty to see and do nearby, we felt totally at home here and can't wait to return.

The property

This stunning split-level house with pretty elevated sea views is situated close to the village centre of Golspie in the Scottish Highlands.

This lovely holiday home is perfect for a family group or group of friends wishing to explore this remote part of Scotland.

Tigh Na Drochaide, which is Gaelic for House on the Bridge, has been individually designed and the smart contemporary interior will certainly impress guests.

The living space in this delightful property is very flexible with no less than two sitting rooms, one giving access to the balcony and benefitting from a welcoming woodburner, whilst the other is a very commodious room with large TV and direct access to the garden.

The modern kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with everything required to prepare home-cooked meals to be enjoyed together around the table.

There are three bedrooms, all at lower ground floor level and lots of bathrooms!

Outside, you can spend time on the big decked terrace in the rear garden or perhaps enjoy the elevated sea views from the balcony.

Golspie is a perfect holiday base and you can simply enjoy the many delights the village has to offer or take to the car and explore this fantastic rugged coastline all the way up to John o' Groats.

If you drive inland, you will realize just how empty and spacious this part of Scotland is and the wildlife is truly amazing.

This attractive house is a really fabulous holiday home in a magical part of Scotland.
