Accessed via a track that leads up through a field to the cottage, the elevated location ensures stunning views, making it ideal for a family group or group of friends who will appreciate the cosy ambience of the wee cottage and the unspoilt beauty of the area.
There are two bedrooms under typical low sloping ceilings, one a twin and one a double.
All the other accommodation is at ground floor level with a main living area comprising of a fitted galley style kitchen open to the sitting area which has a fabulous, cosy woodburning stove.
Just across the hall is the smart dining room with a comfortable seating area where guests can sit and enjoy a quiet read away from the hubbub of the kitchen.
The bathroom is also on the ground floor and the entrance porch/boot room is the place to leave those walking boots and outdoor clothes.
To the outside of the property is a large, fully enclosed garden with lawn, picnic bench, dog proof fence, large double outdoor kennel and run.
The garden is an ideal place to sit and relax after a busy day exploring the local countryside.
This area is a true outdoor enthusiast’s paradise and close by there are fabulous forest tracks to be enjoyed either on foot or on cycles.
Lairg is just a short drive away, ideal for picking up essentials whilst the larger village of Bonar Bridge has better shopping opportunities to enjoy.
Just a short drive from the cottage are the stunning golden sands of both Dornoch and Embo beaches, a real magnet to tourists.
Whether you choose to head to the far north and explore Cape Wrath or stay closer to home, there are always places to visit and things to do in this unspoilt and scenic part of the Highlands.

Located 50 miles north of Inverness, Lairg is centrally placed for touring the remote and beautiful Northern Highlands. The area has much to offer the visitor, from fine golf courses to outstanding fishing, some of the finest hill walking and mountaineering country in the land and the grand castle at Dunrobin, the home of the Earls of Sutherland. The castle, overlooking the sea, boasts a magnificent formal garden inspired by the grandeur of Versailles in France. In the immediate area are several other outdoor adventure activities including falconry, bird watching and photography, woodcarving, geology, kayaking, or even dry stone walling. For the true Highland experience you won’t find much better.
