  • "We’ve been to over 100 holiday cottages in Scotland- this is by far one of the best."

The hosts are helpful without being intrusive and whilst the location speaks for itself - magnificent in every way, the house is amazing. Spacious with first class facilities, clean, well furnished and very, very accommodating. There were a few of us from a 92 year old to a 3 year old and the house easily catered for everyone’s needs. If we could afford the busier seasons, we’d be back all the time from now on but I appreciate you ‘get what you pay for’ and this is true in this case. Hopefully we will be back sooner rather than later.

  • "Great property, but some honest feedback."

The fire had not been cleaned out and logs had not been left. Some of the kitchen equipment like the wok is past its best. The mattress in the master bedroom upstairs was very soft and uncomfortable. We moved a couch closer to the TV and it was filthy under the cushions.

  • "Our second time at the house."

The location is fantastic and the house is great. We have a disabled 17 year old and the steps up to the house are a bit of a challenge, but having a downstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom (with a bath) means the house works for us (we would buy a ramp to bring with us, but there is just no room in the car). The owners were very helpful when a battery needed changing in a smoke alarm and I would like to apologise (again) for not realising that we needed to take the bin to the end of the road. I found the downstairs double bed too firm as I have a mattress topper at home, but I used a spare duvet to act as a topper. When my eldest son finishes university, he wants to live and work in Scotland and we will move with him due to the care needs of his brother. I would buy this house if I could.

A perfect location with beautiful walks along the river right on the doorstep (what a sight the river was after Storm Babet's visit!) The property was ideal with loads of space but also really felt like home for the week, had plenty of bathrooms (bonus points!) and some nice additional features like the games room and the sauna. The owner responded quickly to any queries we had and aside from couple of light bulbs we really had everything we could need for the week. We'd all love to come back if we get the chance - a fantastic holiday!

It quickly felt like home & we all wanted to move house & live here!! The location is absolutely stunning - the river & woodland/highland walks on your doorstep & the woodland park is out of this world and great for children. The owners were amazing too, thank you!

The house was well equipped for catering for and accommodating 9 adults and 1 tall teenager. Only request would be for a large mixing bowl as we made pancakes for 10 and apple crumble for 10. Also there was no whisk. Small things that we worked around but would have made life easier. We were sad to leave and hope to be back someday.
