Nestled on a contemporary estate with an enclosed rear garden, ideal for basking in the sun, this three-bedroom dwelling makes a perfect abode for a family of six.

Be greeted by two off-road parking spaces, making unloading and packing the car an easy task, and admire the unfolding fields before you.

Enter into the property to discover the cloakroom, ideal for freshening up after your travels, and follow the corridor to reach the bright and airy living space.

This open-plan layout makes a great social hub, where you can chat about the highlights of the day whilst you unwind on the plush sofa, or flicker through the TV for a movie.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob to help rustle up home-cooked meals, and there is also a washing machine to keep your wardrobe fresh.

When dinner is served, settle down at the dining table to enjoy a feast and uncork a bottle of wine to toast to a splendid getaway.

On warmer days, enjoy an alfresco affair in the rear garden, featuring outdoor furniture and a lengthy lawn to make use of.

As the sky grows dark, retreat into the warmth, where gas central heating can be turned on when the weather is cooler, and head upstairs to the first floor to find your bedroom.

Choose between two lovely doubles, each with mirrored wardrobes and one offering an en-suite shower room, or an intimate single room, with a trundle bed for flexible sleeping arrangements.

Kick-start your day with an indulgent soak amongst the bubbles in the family bathroom, or make use of the overhead shower to rejuvenate for the day ahead.

Get better acquainted with your surroundings and venture out on foot to explore the delights of Inverness, with a great selection of restaurants from the foot of the door to sample, including Wild Pancakes and Ness Mahal for an Indian cuisine.

Visit the wealth of attractions in Inverness for a taste of Scottish culture, such as the magnificent Cathedral for gothic architecture, the wonderful castle, which overlooks the River Ness, or for the younger members of the group, there is Dolphin Spirit to see a range of wildlife.

Jump in the car or catch the train to the charming village of Dores, where you can soak in the spectacular scenery on the Hogwarts Express, stroll through a majestic forest to reach the quainter side of the Loch Ness, and enjoy the tranquility of Dores Beach.

Relish a fascinating learning experience at The Tomatin Distillery, for the chance to sample single-malt whiskies, and if that isn't to your taste there is an exhilarating theme park, Landmark Forest Adventure Park, nearby.

About the location

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
