  • "Fabulous property."

We had an age range of 86-2 years with us, and the property was perfect for all. The en-suites meant all parties had their own bathroom and shower, which was great when travelling with different parties. Spotlessly clean and everything to a high standard. Off street parking was also great. Ideal location for city centre. It is one of my favourite holiday properties I have stayed at. Great host. Would definitely return!

Thank you , I'm happy the whole family was easy to accommodate. I look forward to welcoming you and your party back in the future. Property Owner

Travelling for a week with family of 5 would’ve def been easier with a washing machine, but other than that, the house is 5 stars all the way! Fantastic location and so easy to walk out and about. Our meet and great upon arrival was also a lovely touch… Loved our visit thanks Maureen.

thank you, I'm glad you had a lovely time. thank too for showing your friend around the home as a prospective future guest. hoping to see you again. Best wishes, Maureen Property Owner

  • "We had a great week in this lovely home."

5 adults and 5 children. The house is very comfortable and it was a bonus having a private bathroom in each bedroom. All en suite except one which is opposite the family bathroom. It was lovely to be out in the cold weather and to return to a cosy home. The house is within walking distance to the town and close to all other amenities. No hesitation in recommending it to others. S. Millar October 2023

Maureen (the owner) thought of everything for a perfect stay. Just a short walk from the train station and a shop (spar) just over the road to the house was great. Maureen was lovely and even allowed us to pick fruit from her tree's in the garden, we will definitely be organising another stay.

Thank you for choosing our property to stay at. I do hope we will see you again. Next time I'll put time aside for a wee dram with you! Thank you for your gift, a very sweet thought. I'm happy to know everything was up to your standard in the house and our facility provided equipment made your stay worry free and pleasant. Property Owner

  • "We had the most wonderful visit to Inverness and staying at 16a Fairfield made it positively delightful!"

Everyone in our group having their own ensuite was key in selecting the property, as well as the pics of inside and outside space. We were even more impressed upon arrival with the amazing equipment of the kitchen (glasses of every kind, spices, food storage containers, sharp knives!) and how close it was to everything (a market across the street and a large Tesco only 3 blocks away!). The owner was SO responsive and helpful. This place is a gem!!

thank you and your party for staying with us. I'm so glad we were able to meet your requirements with our equipment supplied. we always try to make your experience feel like a home from home comfort on your travels. we hope you feel immediately relaxed and this gives you time to get out and about exploring Inverness and surrounds with no worries. 6 friends sharing and plenty of room and facilities provided for our stay. Having a separate dining area was great. Can't recommend it highly enough. (If I would make one very minor comment it would be to provide a washing up bowl to do a small amount of dishes rather than put the dishwasher on!) Maureen was extremely helpful and answered any questions we had. Would have given it a 10+ if I could

Thank you for your kind comments and a washing up bowl is on the shopping list, good idea! I'm glad you all had a great time. Hopefully we'll see you and your group reunite here again in the future. Thank you for leaving the house spotless too. Property Owner

About the location

INVERNESS

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
