Property has all necessary amenities for a good holiday. Only comment/observation would be in respect of the linen and towels provided being slightly tired.

"I had a long-term stay in Alturlie between March and June 2022."
I absolutely loved staying in the cottage. It was like home away from home. It was very clean and comfortable and it’s location is so near to local shops at Kingsmills, which has a cafe, bakery, post office, deli, chemist etc. and the town centre - less than 10 minutes walk from the cottage. Location is central and usually very quiet. The owners were so helpful and attended to any requests very promptly. Definitely hope to stay again when I return to my hometown of Inverness.

"We had a wonderful stay - thank you."
The property is ideally located down a quiet street but so close to the centre of Inverness - ideal for strolling to the M&S food hall or the Black Isle Brewery! No complaints other than the kitchen could do with a few extra utensils - bread knife, egg cups, colander/sieve etc
Hi Lindsay thank you for your lovely comments. It's good to get feed back on things are cottage may need to help people enjoy their stay.I will add egg cups to kitchen & I have put bread knife & sieve in. Property Owner
"This is an excellent base for visiting Inverness ."
It helps that there is a parking space available with the cottage . The house is clean , warm and comfortable . The owners checked in with us by text which was a nice personal touch . The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was just little things we would have liked in the house eg a cafetière , a bread knife and maybe a screen to hang wet towels on the days you couldn’t hang them outside . Otherwise everything else was fine . I just mentioned it so anyone else booking the cottage knows to bring them . Would book again
"We loved this holiday cottage!"
Catriona was the perfect host, meeting us at the property and giving us great recommendations for places to go and how to manage central heating etc. Really well-appointed house with comfortable beds, great kitchen and lovely shower room. Plus the big back garden was a proper treat so close to the city centre. Cosy, quiet and very friendly neighbours who looked out for us. We would definitely book this cottage again. Thank you Catriona for making our holiday so fantastic!

Enjoy a lovingly-prepared home cooked meal at the dining table, before carrying the conversation into the lounge, home to two sumptuous settees where you can kick back after a long day of exploring, with a wall-mounted TV providing entertainment.
Freshen up in the shower room before retiring to the bedrooms, offering a king-size and a 4ft double, each presented in a neutral finish with wooden storage.
To the outside of this Inverness cottage is an enclosed lawned garden and patio, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee before you venture into the city centre, looking out for a delicious café serving breakfast.

While in the area, be sure to visit the legendary Loch Ness, offering a variety of boat trips, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery whilst trying to spot the iconic Nessie lurking in the water.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
