  • "Excellent facilities, very clean, easy to check-in and a great location."

Everyone friendly both on arrival and leaving the place is very private with plenty of parking and the feeling that you are on the middle of a wooded park. You have everything you need and more with the hot tub and sauna in a brilliant separate facility for all weathers. The BBQ hut was brillianl and made you feel you we on Finland.

  • "We greatly enjoyed our stay in "Liitle Chesnut" which is really a full size 3-bedroom property, extremely well equipped and immaculately clean."

Anyone who appreciates Quality, Style, and Good Planning need look no further than this property. The owners, Theresa, Ken, and daughter Louise are discreetly on hand next door if required, and yet you have total privacy. A lot of thought has gone into the presentation of the property and it shows throughout. In addition to a very comfortable home for your stay the location is excellent for day trips out should you wish, with easy access to east and west coasts, and a little further gets you to the top of the British mainland. Thanks very much to our hosts. Ann & David Wallwork

  • "The property is absolutely stunning and finished to a very high standard."

When entering the property it's clear that attention to detail and cleanliness is extremely important to the owners and this reflects through out the property. Everything you need is available including towels and bedding. There are also additional towels, robes and slippers available for use within the hot tub/ sauna which is a fantastic addition to the property as well as a bbq house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay within Little Chessnut and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

  • "The accommodation was lovely, and the additional facilities like the hot tub, sauna and BBQ hut were amazing."

The hosts were lovely and had left some really nice touches for us. However, we found the beds very uncomfortable- this could just be personal preference but they are very soft and we struggled to sleep. The sofas had very low backs which was quite uncomfortable too. Because of this, we could not relax comfortably on our holiday but if they changed the sofas and mattresses this would've been the best accommodation we've ever stayed in.

We received a warm welcome from Teressa plus a chilled bottle of Prosecco. Teressa also loaned us a map and gave us some travel tips too. The house had everything you could need for a perfect break. There is plenty of room for six people and even children's cutlery. There is lots of room outside too and even undercover parking for one car. All the washing and drying facilities you need. It was so peaceful, quiet and secluded. This is the perfect holiday home and a great base for exploring Scotland. I highly recommend the Little Chestnut.

It’s a great place to stay at and the area caters for a large variety of reasons why you should consider booking it. The Family have done an awesome job in creating the right environment with everything that’s included/ needed. It wants for nothing (hot tube/ sauna & BBQ) and is within easy walking reach of the Town and other amenities. Coming back to reality, the prices for 2022 are a big difference compared to 2021 though. SButler

Little Chestnut is immaculate and spacious. Everything is quality , even the crockery , pots and pans etc was of a really high standard. Muir of Ord is a great base for exploring the highlands and my husband enjoyed the nearby golf course and we all had a great time on a boat trip on Loch Ness .We went to book for next year but we just can’t afford the jump in price. Which is such a shame but understandable with the current situation .This year we paid £838.00 including booking fee, but the same week next year it will be £1369.00 which is just to much of a jump for us. We loved this place and are sad we wont be able to return because of how the price has jumped for all weeks. Otherwise we would have no hesitation in booking this property again

  • "This was probably one of the most accommodating cottages we have ever stayed in you literally want for nothing."

There simply isn't anything else to say about the place. If there is a down side(and this is purely a personal opinion) it's not remote enough there is nowhere to go for walks as your located in the village centre, and with exception of the thousands of geese flying overhead there is no wildlife full stop didn't even see a bird in the garden. If they were located a little more remotely I'd have booked for next October already. This apart the "little chestnut" is a little gem and to those of you who just want to relax get yourself booked in before it's to late you won't be disappointed 10/10 easily
