About the property

Set in the heart of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands, is this charming second-floor apartment, Riverview Apartment.

The thriving city centre, Railway Station and Bus Station are all short walks away.

Perched in a highly sought-after location overlooking the River Ness, this property is well-suited to friends and families.

Be welcomed into a lovingly renovated property featuring quality furnishings and a lovely, light decor with an abundance of natural light floating through the patio doors in the sitting room.

Pull a chair up to the private balcony from where dolphins and otters can sometimes be spotted swimming in the River Ness, or unwind on the plush sofas catching up with a book or your favourite shows.

Walk through to the open-plan and fully-equipped kitchen/diner where you can gather at the dining table to enjoy a delicious meal or board game.

Choose from two well-presented bedrooms, set up as a double and twin.

The master bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room, whereas the twin bedroom can have free reign of the bathroom.

You won't be short of things to do here in this beautiful city centre, as Inverness offers a wide range of attractions worth exploring.

Inverness Castle, which dates back to 1057, and Inverness Cathedral are a riverside stroll from the apartment, as are the Botanic Gardens and the attractive Ness Islands.

For a spot of culture, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery is within reach, and the nearby Eden Court is the capital's theatre, arts and cinema venue on the other side of the river.

Inverness has a thriving food and drink scene and some of the Highlands’ best restaurants, pubs and live music venues are a stone's throw from the apartment.

The capital is an excellent base from which to explore the incredible sights of the Scottish Highlands – Loch Ness (and monster-spotting), Urquhart, Dunrobin and Eilean Donan Castles, the spectacular Isle of Skye scenery, the outdoor adventure pursuits at Aviemore and the Speyside Whiskey and Distillery Trail are all day trips from Inverness.

About the location

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
