  • "Everything you need for a lovely relaxing break."

Hosts were really lovely, welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is comfortable and spotless. Beds are comfortable. Whole place just has a comfy atmosphere. Snooker table is a great thing for doing something different. The land around is just stunning aswell and it's not far from Inverness at all. Great place and we're hoping to get back sometime. Highly recommended. We can't believe just how chilled and relaxed we all felt.

About the location

Arpafeelie 3 miles; Kilmuir 4.1 miles; Inverness 5.5 miles.

North Kessock on The Black Isle is one of the most desirable residential areas around nearby Inverness. Snuggled around the shore of the Beauly Firth with its long promenade which offers seating, is a very popular stopping point for visitors to view dolphins and otters playing along the shore. The nearby much smaller village of Kilmuir which wraps around its own private bay is recognised as one of the most romantic and charming settings in the whole area. There are many walks giving a view over a huge panorama stretching 30 to 40 miles along the firth. The Black Isle itself is full of amazing places to visit, from Pictish Remains to Early Christian Church sites dating back to about 630AD. There are two families of fairies, one at the famous Clootie Well and the other at the waterfall at the top of the charming Fairy Glen. For a memorable day out, pay a visit to the Wildwoodz Adventure Park, where you can participate in an excellent selection of outdoor activities, including archery, axe throwing, paintballing and laser tag. Nearby are the picturesque harbours at Avoch and Fortrose, which also boasts a medieval ruined Cathedral and where dolphins can be spotted from the adjacent Chanonry Point, (the most visited natural history site in Scotland). There is also a very challenging golf course surrounded by the sea. The neighbouring village of Rosemarkie offers a beautiful sandy beach where you can paddle in the waters and grab a bite from the café. The village of Cromarty at the head of the Black Isle, is a must visit with beautiful buildings, in both the Merchant Area and also the utterly charming Fisher Town, right on the edge of the famous Cromarty Firth which was home to the Grand Fleet in two world wars. There are also many visitor attractions, not least the interactive and award winning Cromarty Courthouse museum.
