  • "We had the best stay, the property is as beautiful as it looks."

Lovely and clean. Great hosts, available when we needed them but not intrusive. Endless wood for the fire, hottub clean and ready to go and mulled cider and mince pies on arrival... Perfect! We would highly recommended this cottage for quality and location.

  • "Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location."

We had a great week staying here and exploring the Cairngorms. There’s a Tesco and plenty of places to eat in Aviemore which is 6 miles away, the cafe in Kincraig is also lovely and various walks right on the doorstep. The owners were friendly when we contacted them in advance with a couple of questions. Positives about the place: - well equipped kitchen - good size for our small family - hot tub is great after a day of walking - plenty of logs for the fire - nice and warm! - plenty of wardrobe and drawer space - comfy beds and soft towels - cleaning products, washing up liquid etc supplied - plenty of games, books and TV channels Things that could be even better: - chemicals in the hot tub must be really strong as our swimwear is bleached, maybe this could be adjusted - it’s a shame there’s not a washing machine, which we didn’t realise when we booked and there is plenty of space in the kitchen for one - would make life easier with a baby and lots of walking in lovely Scottish wintry weather - parking isn’t directly outside and there’s not an obvious sign for the cottage, this was a little bit tricky to find when we first arrived and also a bit awkward with loading and unloading the car

Aviemore nearest town 6 miles, for nearest bars & restaurants, so you need to drive to get to other bars & restaurants. We did walk it once, theres a lovely walk but wouldnt do it at night, All in all a great find, area is beautiful, cottage is lovely, you wont go wrong booking it. Oh a shout out to Quad biking at Dalraddy 5 mins away, great fun and well worth a try, some beautiful views.

. Owners were fantastic in accodating us. Wow what can we say! This cottage blew us away... Fantastic in every way. Tooked away in the grounds amougst the trees you would never know it was there.. Secluded enclosed garden space making it perfect for dogs. Lovley landscaped garden is a little suntrap. Cottage/cabin is very deceiving, it feels massive inside. This place has so much space its hard to choose we're you want to sit and spend your time. Super clean and well equipped we needed for nothing... We'll a few more days would have been perfect. We will definitely be going back! A perfect base to explore from..

When we arrived the place was immaculate and just gorgeous. The location, property and privacy for us was just perfect. The owners are more than lovely and very caring / helpful with everything. We done so much in our time there and still have loads to do. In all our times staying in aviemore and the surrounding areas this is by far the most stunning, comfortable and gorgeous place we have stayed in.

  • "The location for Suidhe is perfect, some fabulous walks from the doorstep and lots to do in the area."

The lodge is a little tucked away so didn’t get much sun, even when the neighbours garden was bathed in sunlight. We’re not sun worshippers so not a major problem. It’s a beautiful lodge and surroundings. We made the most of the hot tub most days which was an added bonus after a long day. The tv didn’t work but not a problem, we played games around the table each evening. The mattresses are a little uncomfortable and the duvets need changing as very lumpy. Highly recommend any of the local walks. 6 mile walk into Aviemore along a footpath with some lovely views The Rowan Tree restaurant serves good food if you don’t fancy cooking or there are a coup,e of chaos at the nearby caravan park who make good grub. The lady behind the house makes lovely bread.

  • "There are some amazing walks straight from the garden gate, and the hosts were very helpful."

The location is stunning and the surrounding area is perfect for walks and mountain biking. Very well equipped cottage and has everything you need for a home from home stay. We found the beds very uncomfortable, mid week I actually bought a mattress topper (thin one from home bargins)which did help a little (this maybe personal taste, we have a memory foam at home)The duvets were also very lumpy. The only other thing to be aware of is that to access the cottage you are essentially walking through the split garden of the big house. We were very lucky and the house was not occupied due to number restrictions but I can imagine if there were occupants you wouldn't have the privacy we had, as the house and top garden overlooks the cottage. That said we had a lovely week exploring the area and it was wonderful to come home and have a soak in the lovely hot tub.

  • "We found this lovely cottage after having to cancel a holiday we already had booked."

We were greeted by Mike, who is so friendly and welcoming, we got into the cottage to find some home made cheesecakes which were amazing! The cottage is in a quiet area and it’s so cosy especially when you have just got out the hot tub and you curl up by the fire. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for some chilled out family time. It has so many walks just on your door step and Aviemore just up the road. We had a fantastic time and will 100% be coming back again! Thank you to Mike and Wendy for again being so welcoming.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage with good open plan kitchen, dining & lounge area with log burning stove."

Bedroom layout is interesting with access to the small bunk room through one of the double bedrooms. Some minor issues with the plumbing, however did not detract from the holiday enjoyment. Mike and Wendy were extremely helpful and always keen to ensure that the stay went without a hitch. As a confirmed “West Coaster”, I feel that this has opened up an area of Scotland to me that previously I would never have visited and I now am hoping for a return visit next year.

  • "We had a great time at Suidhe Cottage It's a lovely space & feels really tucked away & private."

A new mattress in the master bedroom would make it even better, as would the addition of a washing machine, although there is a laundrette in Aviemore. We loved the hot tub, especially the massage jets! We didn't get to use the barbecue unfortunately, as the weather was a bit rubbish. Kincraig is a great base for exploring the Cairngorms & we'll definitely be back.

Hot tub was lovely and warm even in the snow. Cottage was equipped with everything we needed even had little touches in bedrooms like hot water bottles and hair dryers.. avimore only 6 miles away has all u need tesco aldi. Gift shops..home bargains..restraunts..pizza..italian..laundrette..all we met was friendly ..loved it will deffo be back. Only negative which isnt really a negative as the owners did pre warn us the garden is dog secure but we had a husky who likes to jump..the back fence is very low so he jumped over it one morning and we had to climb over on to a neighbours garden to collect him luckily we spotted him in time. Also the gate if you have little dogs could easily get through it apart from that its perfect. Also free logs on grounds for log fire. Perfect.

it is clean and comfortable and superbly located. we are a family of four (2 adult, 2 kids, 7 and 3). the cottage had everything you might need, although the fridge was really small so we had to shop every couple of days rather than one big shop for the week. that would be my only bugbear really! the pub that is in the lodge is friendly and welcoming and very child friendly too, which meant we could go for a swift half after dinner - such a treat! desperate to go back but it's busy, and no wonder.

The garden has now been enclosed and improved since the last time we where there so even better. We both feel the bathroom ( shower ) could be updated but the owner aware, also would love a washing machine as our clothes got wet due to wet weather walks,so could do with washing them. They have put in new double doors is sitting room that are lovely too. We will be returning again in a couple of years we hope. A must stay if visiting Aviemore Fiona and John Mcgregor

Aviemore just down the road with everything you would need. we would have rebooked for this year but due to my holidays having to boom over a year in advanced is was already booked. so my advice if it free, book it you really won’t regret it.
