The property

Tain 5 miles.

This superior and beautifully presented family cottage is set in an idyllic location on a hillside with fabulous views over pretty fields to the mountains beyond.

Full of homely touches with well-proportioned rooms, this spacious holiday house affords the best in self-catering accommodation.

The warm and welcoming open plan living area with its woodburning stove, comfortable sofas and beautiful views from the large picture windows makes a wonderful holiday venue for all seasons.

The large centrally placed dining table ensures that great meals can be enjoyed together and the well-equipped kitchen has everything a cook could possibly need.

From the underfloor heated flagstone flooring to the pristine AGA range everything is just right here.

All the bedrooms are individual, some with a pretty cottage theme and others simply oozing style and charm.

The master boasts a large four poster bed and smart en-suite and there are bathrooms on both floors.

A little bonus is the snug with its welcoming open fire, comfy sofa, piano and large oak desk, a great place for a bit of me time!

The cottage has a large lawned garden to the front and to the side is a well-equipped children’s play area for the younger guests to enjoy, plus there is an outside seating area for up to sixteen people with a fire pit/barbecue.

This area is indeed a walkers’ paradise and just at the rear of the cottage is a well-established route, the Strathrory to Scotsburn Drove Road a traditional cattle route that follows the banks of the Balnagowan River.

The vibrant small town of Tain is a very short drive away and here there is a good range of shops, restaurants and lively pubs.

For those looking for wonderful beaches then you are in luck as both nearby Dornoch and Embo have fabulous sandy beaches.

Everything is here to ensure a perfect holiday for family and friends to enjoy together and this amazing cottage will exceed all expectations!
