This is a great base for any holiday. Every room in the house has a view. The dog loved it, plenty secure outdoor space on the property to run around. Indoors, the dog needed to keep to the hard floor areas, which was spacious, this included the Conservatory where we spent most of our time when actually in the house. Very much a home away from home. Reviewed by SandraOct 2021 "Beautiful house and location, Great scenery, very considerate host - many thanks." BT sent 2 wrong guys up to try and fix WiFi and they couldn’t as they both were the wrong engineers. It didn’t bother us in the slightest though. I miss the morning view already, it truly was magical in all weathers and we throughly enjoyed being up there. Reviewed by KatherineMar 2019 "The engineers were incredibly happy and lucky to have found something to accommodate all the guys staying together as accommodation was very limited in and around Tongue." A great base for walking and exploring the coastline and plenty of opportunities for fishing . A good dark night sky with a chance of the northern lights . Owner,Debbie, could not be more friendly or helpful Reviewed by RobertSep 2018 "The cottage was in a stunning location and well presented." The owner resolved the issue of the blocked shower as quickly as they could but it is a shame that the shower drains are not checked more frequently as it was really was very dirty. It meant that for half our holiday we had to share one shower not what we had paid for. Our other issue were the beds in the bedroom above the kitchen and downstairs bedroom the mattresses were so soft you felt you were going to fall out of them so my husband and I slept in separate beds thank goodness the other upstairs bedroom was ok for my brother and wife - we did not like to complain as we had already had to complain about the shower however we noted in the visitor book that several other visitors had mentioned the uncomfortable beds previously. A new DVD player arrived early in the week to replace the broken one that other guests had mentioned previously - the owners do their best to resolve issue as soon as they can. Other than that the property is lovely with excellent views across they Kyle - the Craggan hotel up the road did excellent food and were really friendly. We would visit the area again. Some extra lighting around the cooker would be helpful,i.e.- down lights under the 2 cupboards either side of the cooker. The bedrooms were wonderful, with all of them having their own bathrooms. Have stayed in the Tongue area for about 10 years now, albeit in another property. This property is certainly one we would return to. A useful base for fishing in loch Hope just over the hill.
