  • "Lovely place and a lot bigger than expected on initial arrival."

Place was clean and well looked after, especially for a dog friendly place. However the kitchen was a little sparse on equipment, countless knifes possibly even too many but no grater, tongs, or vegetable peeler.

  • "Location of cottage was good although closer to the main road than we had anticipated."

Good utility room with washer and dryer which were very handy for us, our dog, and our walking boots etc. Nice open plan kitchen area with large comfortable sofa and good size TV. Sadly the TV remote batteries ran out halfway through our stay - not a major problem as we could replace but ideally there would be some spares available for such an instance. An initial supply of wood for the fire would have been a nice touch. Kitchen could have been slightly better equipped given cottage slept 6 people. Bedrooms very sparce with no drawers in the main bedroom and no furniture other than the beds in the other bedrooms. Bathroom needed better ventilation. Electric shower may need attention; it squealed and whined when on! Cleanliness in frequently used areas was fine but on closer inspection the areas harder to see (ie skirting boards behind doors) were very dusty. It would have been nice to have some outdoor furniture for the garden as we had lovely weather. Good garden space for the dog but the grass needed cutting. A folder with local information and instructions for appliances etc would have been useful. There was a folder but very limited info covering only one or two aspects.

  • "The main problem was that the bins for the house were completely full and were not emptied during the week."

Therefore there was nowhere to put our rubbish and recycling.

  • "Cottage was nice & clean and had a secure garden for the dog."

Really liked the living room/kitchen area. Bedrooms 2 & 3 were basic & needed at least a bedside table. We would've liked to have used the garage to store bikes but it wasn't secure, the whole door came off!
