The property

This lovely detached cottage is situated in a smart residential area of the village of Newtonmore in the Scottish Highlands.

This very spacious cottage is ideally located for enjoying the many delights that the Cairngorms National Park has to offer and is ideal for a family or group of friends.

With accommodation over two floors, there are four generously proportioned bedrooms, one of which is at ground floor level and has an en-suite walk-in shower.

The stylish sitting room, with its welcoming woodburner, is a wonderful place for relaxation at the end of an active day.

The well-equipped kitchen, with dining area and breakfast bar, makes the preparation of meals an easy task.

For added flexibility there is a single sofa bed in the TV room.

Outside this pleasant cottage is a private enclosed garden which has a patio and furniture, where you can relax with a refreshing drink or dine alfresco and enjoy the peace of the surrounding countryside.

The many excellent facilities that Newtonmore has to offer are just a gentle stroll away, and the pretty main street has some delightful shops and cafes to be explored.

The village is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly for walkers and cyclists and bikes can be hired locally.

There is also a riding centre and guests can enjoy the fabulous scenery on horseback!

For the even more energetic, why not try one of the most exhilarating river experiences possible and partake in some whitewater rafting, available all year round?

From Newtonmore it is easy to explore the whole of the National Park and perhaps follow the Malt Whisky Trail, or even take a trip on the funicular railway and get a feel for the rugged beauty of the Cairngorm Mountains.

The area is very beautiful and the wildlife is totally amazing.

At the end of a busy day this lovely holiday home is just perfect!

Overlooking the River Spey, in the Cairngorms National Park (Britain's largest), Newtonmore has several shops and pubs, as well as two excellent, award-winning museums - the Highland Folk Museum and Clan MacPherson Museum. Newtonmore's Wildcat Trail is a popular, 7-mile circular walk around the edge of the village, taking in the River Spey with woodland, moorland and wonderful views across the valley to the Cairngorms, and behind the village to the Monadhliath Mountains - a fitting introduction to the delights of the National Park. For younger visitors, the Folk Park, the Wildlife Park at Kincraig, Landmark at Carrbridge and the Steam Railway are all outstanding local attractions.
