  • "Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable."

Great to be in the town centre so that we could walk to lots of things, including the station to go further afield. Lovely view of the river too.

  • "We loved The Coach House."

The house was very clean and well equipped. The shower in the ensuite was the best shower I've ever had. Really comfortable beds. Location was good - just off the A9 - and excellent for visiting Aviemore, hill walking, birdwatching and walking round lakes. Beautiful area. Only downside was that the living area was a bit compact. When four were round the dining table, space was a bit tight between the kitchen and lounge but it was fine for a week for four of us. Washing machine is shared and in the basement. You'll need four pound coins for it and for the dryer. There is a very well-equipped Coop just along the road (five minutes drive), And you must try the Rowan Tree Hotel for a meal. Utterly incredible for all the family. We'd go back again.

  • "We spent a lovely week at The Coach House, it was very comfortable, well equipped and as we arrived on a cold wet day it was great to step into a warm house."

We did lots of walking, bird watching, especially enjoyed the Wild Cat Trail around Newtonmore, absolutely stunning, so many various habitats. Very good location for exploring, will have to return.

  • "The house was very comfortable and felt like home from home."

Great location and really peaceful. Only one suggestion for improvement, the single beds are not the most comfortable. We had a wonderful week. Thank you.

  • "Loved the location, the walking around the cottage is first class and you can vary the length."

Good for visiting many outdoor activities. We were up for a golf competition In Aviemore, which is easily accessible via the main road, which is a short distance from the property but we had no traffic noise whatsoever. The cottage is very roomy and well equipped, the owner was good at communicating all the checkin information. As someone else has mentioned, when you extend the table to seat everyone it does make the lounge a little tight but I would book this accommodation if the golf competition returns to Aviemore as it matched our needs fully.

  • "This cottage is lovely."

so handy for the town and all the wonderful facilities in the area. There is plenty of parking right outside the door, a shop at the garage 3 minutes walk away and a Cafe next door. The furnishings are very comfortable and the equipment good. I would highly recommend this destination for anyone wanting to spend time in the National Park.

The Coach House Cottage was an excellent base and provided everything we needed. The Letterbox Restaurant was very good indeed but you do need to book. Well stocked Co-op nearby for essentials.

  • "The Coach House is situated in a wide valley surrounded by mountains."

It is 30mins from Aviemore, about an hour from Inverness, 40mins from Abernethy Forest and Loch Garten and there are plenty of trails to walk nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Wildcat Trail" because of the varied landscape that it took us through from river bank to gorge to hill walking, through forest, over moorland and meadow! There was even the odd red squirrel to keep us company along with numerous sheep and a couple of horses, we were also warned of pigs but didn't see any. The apartment was EXTREMELY well-equipped, nicely laid out and so cosy! Our beds were freshly made and there was a very welcome tea tray laid out, perfect after a 10hr journey! Had I known we would be so well looked after I would have left more stuff at home! I have a bag of bits that always comes with us containing scissors, a sharp knife, peeler, cling film, foil, kitchen roll......etc, etc. I still used my own this time but, should I be lucky enough to return, the extra space in the car would be appreciated by my passengers. I would simply replace anything I used up or leave a spare for anything close to running out. Wonderful! Those that previously wished for Wi-Fi will be delighted to know broadband is now fully installed. In summary: Great location for Cairngorm exploring, no need to overload your car with kitchen necessities and a fabulous welcome awaits!

  • "Good central location close to all amenities."

A comfortable and well appointed property well suited to our needs. Our group of three are all bikers and this area was a first look at the highlands and the incredible mountain countryside. The west coast is in easy reach and the rides in the area were on good well maintained roads. Skye was spectacular as was Glenn Coe. The local people were all helpful and friendly. There were plenty of stopping places with good food and coffee.

  • "Excellent property - spotlessly clean and inviting."

Bedding and linen all provided. Lots of extras - sunflowers on table to welcome you and information for travel in the area. As we were 3 adults it was good to have an en-suite as well as the main bathroom. Would certainly recommend to friends. Would use Sykes website again as it was no problem to book and the staff were so helpful!

There was also a lot of information about the area. The house was obviously well cared for and we felt very comfortable there - very comfy clean beds, spotless bathrooms and fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. It was well placed for walking and visiting other areas. We have stayed in lots of self catering accommodation and this was definitely the best.
