  • "It didn't really make clear that it was isolated."

So we were very happy that it was but we nearly didn't go for it as it didn't say it clearly that it's beautiful solitary!

  • "A very comfortable and cosy cottage set in beautiful scenery."

Beds extremely comfortable. Log burner great and free supply of logs very thoughtful. Excellent for my collie dog with secure grounds. Ground floor bedroom with ensuite ideal for my elderly mum. We had a superb week and sad to leave. Proximity to House of Bruar was so ( too) handy.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Tomban cottage."

The cottage was very clean and in a lovely spot with great views from the dining room where you can watch the birds on the feeder. Look out for the deer and red squirrel. It is up a farm track which can get very muddy. Also the A9 is quite close and there is a lot of road noise so although the cottage is in the middle of a field it is quite noisy. Could do with some decent garden furniture. There are some lovely walks nearby.

The location is stunning did not tire of looking at those wonderful views. The cottage itself was extremely comfortable and very cosy especially with the log fire. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils everything you would need.and the beds were poorly the most comfortable I have ever stayed in.

  • "We had a great week at this lovely cottage The location and the views from the cottage are spectacular."

Although the weather was disappointing the cottage more than made up for it. After days out exploring the area it was lovely to come back, light the log burner and just settle down for the evening in this lovely warm and cosy cottage The cows in the field are also very friendly and will come over to the fence to see you. Great place to stay, would highly recommend 31 August - 6 September Ann, Mick, Andrea, David, Jake and Bobby the dog

  • "A delightful cottage in a special place."

We have so enjoyed the view, constantly changing with the light. Really a home from home, very well equipped, and the beds! So comfortable - the towels are good too! We enjoyed many trips out as it is near so many places. Back at the cottage we enjoyed watching the sheep/lambs and the birds and the red squirrel too. You do need to be prepared to drive up the track in your car and open and close two gates. It's worth it for the view in our opinion.
