A charming stone cottage situated in the picturesque coastal village of Portmahomack, on the Tarbat Peninsula in the north east of Scotland.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and ideal for family and friends to enjoy exploring this part of Scotland.
The bright sitting room is both cosy and welcoming and leads down to the dining area in the conservatory, with double doors into the pretty rear garden, with its sea views.
There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare family meals to be enjoyed around the dining table or on the patio during warmer weather.
There are also three comfortable bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor.
The rear garden is private, peaceful and a perfect place in which to enjoy a morning coffee whilst listening to the gulls passing overhead.
Just a very short walk will take you down to the beach, harbour and array of pretty cottages that run along the seafront.
Here you will find the Oyster Catcher seafood restaurant, which is open from April to October and offers the most wonderful food prepared from fresh local produce.
For walkers, there is an excellent, coastal nine-mile circuit passing Tarbat Ness Lighthouse, providing the opportunity to spot seabirds, dolphins and seals.
For those interested in travelling the North Coast 500 tour, the cottage is close, being a 15 minute drive from the A9.
Why not pop up to Dornoch, with is wonderful beaches and golf course or even closer to home, visit the Royal Burgh of Tain, brimming with ancient history and places of interest?

Portmahomack is a charming fishing village on the shores of the Dornoch Firth, an inlet of the Moray Firth, which offers superb views inland towards the Sutherland Mountains. The village has excellent local services including a village shop and post office, a cafe and a seafood restaurant. Portmahomack has a lovely white sandy beach with no strong currents making it ideal for water sports and bathing. The village is also home to the Tarbat Discovery Centre, an historic lighthouse and a 9 hole golf course. Nearby is the Royal Burgh of Tain which offers many facilities and is home to the famous Glenmorangie Distillery, well worth a visit! Portmahomack is an ideal base for touring the highlands with Inverness, the “Capital City of the Highlands”, just 45 miles to the south.
