  • "We've just had the best weekend here."

The house is stunning & in a beautiful location. The views are something else! We will definitely come back here

  • "Lovely location and property ideal for the 8 of us."

Massive bonus was the sunken trampoline in the huge garden which the children loved. The pool was small but adequate and again the inflatable’s were a huge success with the little ones. Fantastic views and amazing sunsets. We had a couple of issues which Alan dealt with very promptly. Lovely holiday enjoyed by us all thank you.

  • "Gorgeous place to stay."

Beautiful garden and view from the lounge window. Very peaceful and relaxing place to go back to after a day sightseeing. Would love to stay there again.

  • "First of all the positives:- 1."

Location of the house is great, set on its own with no neighbours overlooking. 2. The 360 degree views are amazing. 3. The garden is large and the kids loved the trampoline. The kids also loved the horses in the fields around the house. Now for the negative. 1. Cleanliness wasn’t the best. We had to wash the majority of the dishes and glasses before we used them, they were all dirty and had not been washed properly previously. 2. The simple things matter, we arrived to discover there was no toilet roll in the house at all. We have stayed in several places over the years and never had this before. Had to make the round trip back to the Tesco in Wick to get some. 3. The house is looking tired, with a bit of TLC it could be amazing. 4. The pool is located in what I can best describe as a shed. There were actually a few screws left sicking out, half screwed in.

  • "The only thing that was disappointing was there was no welcome pack, with other sykes bookings the owners have left basic provisions."

Although the owners did fit a gate when requested which was appreciated. Other than that we had a great holiday.

  • "The house was just as expected, plenty of room for the 6 of us."

Very quiet which is just what we wanted. The sunroom with the underfloor heating is lovely, however if there was 8 of you there is not enough seating. The shower is quite small, and the jacuzzi Bath takes a long time to fill. All in all though it’s a lovely house and we had a lovely holiday.

  • "Lovely position for a property."

The property was far from the cleanliness standards we expected which was the most disappointing thing. Felt like owners had just moved out for our arrival. Dusty sills, dirty windows, dust under chairs and furniture, oven greasy and dirty, shower dirty, cobwebs and dead flies on sills ets. Washing machine drawers dirty, tumble drier condenser was full of water as was the fridge water unit unsure how long it had been sitting. Food in cupboards and had to empty the dishwasher fior cups etc The Pool had flies and beasts in it so unsure how clean this would be to use. There were dirty socks etc under one of the beds. Really disappointing for the money we paid. Have photos of all the above if required. Also disappointing that a big house like this had one small shower.

  • "The house is good but tv in bedroom was not working as could not get signal."

The swimming pool is in a shed outside it is freezing the shed has lots off holes in it .the pool water was freezing.

Thanks for your feedback and apologies for these issues. The bedroom tv has a roku box to enable connection to tv channels, it looks like this had been moved to the sun lounge by a previous guest prior to your stay. We have now installed a new Roku box in the bedroom. The pool is located in an outside summerhouse with double glazing throughout as per the photos on Sykes site. The pool temperature is maintained at 28 degrees, as per your telephone call about the pool temperature we increased the temperature above this and as we didnt hear from you again we assumed the temperature was fine.
