  • "Great property, modern, well equipped and clean."

Ideal location for local walks and bike rides. When a problem with the oven arose the owners dealt with it promptly and resolved the issue with no interruption to our holiday. One minor comment for improvement would be more direct lighting over the sink.

  • "Very nice apartment with high quality furnishings and very well equipped everything you need & very comfortable for that home away from home experience."

Nice little touches and soft furnishings. Great base location for touring the northern highlands. My only negatives which let the property down was the sealant around the bath needs to be replaced and a knob on the oven was broken therefore unable to switch between grill / oven, it seemed to be in grill mode therefore I was unable to use the oven during my stay. The rest of the property is of such high quality, these are just small things that need to be fixed for a perfect luxury stay.

Thank you so much for the feedback and we are glad you found it well equipped and comfortable. We will be replacing the sealant as soon as we can and the oven has been completely replaced. Property Owner

  • "The holiday cottage was brilliant."

If I was to pick fault and it is really being picky there is no dishwasher. This did not in any way spoil our holiday. Golspie is a great base explore the coastal villages and inland. The cottage is close to the village centre and the "Trawler" chip shop is excellent. All the walks are easy to access as are the mountain bike trails. The Ben Bhraggie walk is a bit of a climb but the views from the top on a clear day are stunning. It is encouraging to see that the monument gets no more than a cursory mention in most literature and in no way is highlighted. It's a shame that it has not been removed and returned to the castle where they could erect it in the forest somewhere. It would then no longer be a blot on the landscape. Verdict - Absolutely lovely cottage and beautiful landscape.

  • "Excellent apartment, tastefully refurbished and comfortable."

Beautiful setting and a good base for exploring. We loved the unusual road signs - Caution, Otters! and Warning - Wild Goats. And we actually saw both. An otter ran across the road just after we saw the sign, and a bearded goat was grazing on the hill. Good fishing on Embo beach, if only the wind had been in the right direction and a bit less strong. One small flounder our only catch! Minor points - we’d have liked waste paper bins in lounge and bedroom, and the cooker would be hugely improved with an induction hob as opposed to the solid hotplates that take ages to heat up and are so difficult to control.
