  • "Hi Jo, we had a lovely stay at Lisburn street, it was a great location for Alnwick."

    The beds were comfy and we loved the soft bed linen. The garden is a lovely sun trap on an afternoon. We could always get parked on the street, which was super. We loved the fire in the lounge, my daughter enjoyed picking a colour each evening. Thank you very much for the lovely treats that you left us, they were very much appreciated and a really nice touch. There was a few things that I wanted to note that future guests might appreciate- the kitchen would benefit from a few extra things- additional oven trays, mixing or serving bowl, more teaspoons, trivet to put hot things on. Perhaps a DVD player in the lounge, I know that's old school now, but we bought some DVDs from one of the charity shops but couldn't watch them. We found the oven hard to use as there was no user instructions and it seemed to either under cook food or cremate it. The front door is really hard to use, my mum has a few health issues so she couldn't open it or close it by herself. Thank you again, we enjoyed our stay very much.

  • "We were very happy with the property."

    It was in a great location minutes walk from the High Street, Alwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens. It had everything we needed incluing loveky welcme pack provided by Jo, the owner. When we had a couple of minor maintainance issues, Jo dealt with them immediately, she was very responsive both prior to, and during our stay. We loved her cottage and the little courtyard garden was very special. Would have liked an ironing board (there was an iron),and a clothes airer (although there was a washer/dryer). My friends and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely property in a stunning unspoilt part of the country. Would stay there again.

  • "The property was very clean."

    The bed was very comfortable with lovely quality towels. The kitchen was compact but well stocked with crockery and cutlery It was great to have a dishwasher and washing machine to use during our weeks stay. The location was perfect and allowed us to walk into town and there was a great choice of cafes and restaurants near by We had a lovely time staying there and Alnwick is a great place and so dog friendly

  • "The accommodation was excellent, everything you could need was provided plus extras (dog treats, washing up liquid)."

    The location is very good 5 mins walk to market square, pubs, restaurants and shops. Highly recommended and will definitely book this accommodation on my next visit to alnwick.

  • "Amazing cottage."

    Extremely close to the town and easy to park directly outside the property. Would highly recommend we thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nt stay. Alnwick as a base is truly the best. The property

20 Lisburn Street is a beautiful terraced cottage sitting in the original part of Alnwick, Northumberland.

The cottage is a stone's throw away from shops, pubs, and Alnwick Castle, and has a bright and contemporary interior with access to a private, historic courtyard; a superb base for families, couples, and friends alike to explore the many sights of Northumberland.

Renovated to a high standard, the entrance leads you to a navy blue sitting room with an elegant, cream corner sofa and a wall-mounted Smart TV with subwoofer speakers and Netflix for family move nights.

The kitchen/diner is fully equipped for your self-catering holiday and with a rustic wooden table to host evening meals, along with a generous welcome pack.

Alnmouth 4 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Rothbury 10 miles.

The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby.
