“For a start the place was really difficult to find and we had to go back a few times to ask where it was.”
Also, on closer inspection, we were given a different apartment to the one we booked, with no e mail, text or proper reason as to why this was. surely this is a breach of contract.
It seemed that it didn't have the same facilities as the one we booked.
It felt that this apartment had been done up but not properly finished, there was a film of powder on shelves and in drawers that then got on our clothes.
There were no instructions as to where we were to dispose of our rubbish and were we supposed to strip the beds (we did). When we tried to return the key it was the guy's day off and we had to ring him to find out what to do with the key.
In all fairness we did get find the place quite comfortable but lacking a few things that would have made our stay a little better and seemed a bit basic in some areas, it was a good job we had our daughter's laptop so we could watch a DVD!
The places around Alnwick are stunning but we will not be returning to it in the near future.
