"Well situated cottage containing everything you’d require from a holiday let ."
Appreciated that we weren’t over burdened with lots of unnecessary house rules . The welcome pack of wine , biscuits and crisps was a nice touch . Would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a lovely family holiday .
"Fantastic house in a peaceful location."
Close to all local amenities with the high street virtually round the corner. Property had everything that we needed for our stay. Nice enclosed seating area to rear of property which was well used due to the lovely weather we had. Parking not directly outside although you can pull up to unload. Didn’t have any issues finding a parking spot near by.

Well maintained clean property with modern decor We particularly liked the owners art work The garden seat in the front garden was ideal for breakfast
"We had the best stay at number 20!"
Everything was perfect. Home from home! Immaculately clean. I would highly highly recommend it.
"We were very impressed with the property in general."
Very well equipped, very comfortable, clean and quite spacious. The enclosed area at the back was very pleasant to sit in (on the couple of days we saw a little of the sun). A quiet location but only a couple of minutes walk into the town centre and not much further to the sea front and harbour village. Just one tiny suggestion - for those self catering, some sort of measuring jug would be useful in the kitchen. We recommend it and would definitely stay again if going up that way for a few days.
"A lovely light airy comfortable property in a quiet location."
The seafront and shops are easily accessible. It was totally dog friendly which was why we chose this property. Amble is a great base for visiting glorious Northumberland and buying fish from Alliance fisheries on the harbour was the best fish we have ever eaten!
"The house was very clean and the facilities were excellent."
The location was ideal close to the town centre. I would recommend this house to anyone.
"Lovely house in a quiet street in Amble."
Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Great location, with a short walk to local shops, restaurants and the harbour. Plenty of beautiful beaches and castles to explore in the area.
"Very well equipped cottage, beautifully decorated and very comfortable."
The road outside and surrounding roads was very narrow & manoeuvring a little challenging. Some forewarning would be appreciated. We also could not find anywhere for take away fish and chips in Amble on Sunday evening. However, these are minor grumbles. We had a great stay & may well be back.
"We really enjoyed our time at Number 20 Amble."
The house is warm, comfortable, spacious and homely. There is everything needed for a lovely stay. The beds are comfortable and the house was spotless and clean. Parking is easy nearby. The house is only a short walk to nearby shops, pubs and restaurants. My only little criticism would be no power point next to the front bedroom mirror, maybe just an extension lead would help. A guest book in the house would be lovely too, as I enjoy reading who's visited. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
"Lovely cottage in an extremely quiet location, but only a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and the working harbour."
Also a great location for exploring Northumberland. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable and spacious. The beds were exceptionally comfortable! Would definitely consider staying again when visiting the area.

"We stayed at Number 20 at the beginning of November and had a brilliant time."
It is a lovely, spacious cottage; light, bright and tastefully furnished. The owner’s art work is a special touch. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. In the evenings the fire in the living room made it really cosy. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen and there were nice, fluffy towels in the bathroom. The cottage is in a great spot; so close to the high street and only minutes from the harbour. The cottage was also perfect for our dog with a good enclosed area at the back and lots of lovely walks round Amble and nearby. Number 20 is a real home from home and we would love to stay there again.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Number 20."
The house was clean and comfortable and loved the artwork done by the owner! We found the beds extremely comfortable and had good nights sleep! The shower was excellent as well. Location was great and within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the fantastic harbour! Was definitely a good home away from home for us to explore the surrounding area!
Many thanks Jenni . So pleased you enjoy your stay at Number 20 and much appreciate your comments about my art too . Best wishes Nikky Property Owner

"This was a beautifully furnished, cosy cottage tucked away in a pretty street and a short walk away from the centre."
Grassy area at the end of the street for dog walkers then a cut through from here to the harbor area. Excellent Indian takeaway/re Willstaurant Taj Mahal plus local supermarkets/pubs/fish restaurants all within walking distance. Loved this cottage. Loved Amble.

About the location
Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.
The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
