  • "The property was excellent with very good hosts."

My low rating is of Sykes because I object to being contacted by you on the first day of our stay asking whether I had enjoyed my stay as if I had already left.

  • "Sarah's Cottage was lovely."

It was clean and warm, and the owners next door we're extremely friendly and obliging. The cottage was spacious and finished to a high standard with all you need for your stay, we even had the use of a stair gate to keep our dog downstairs! All in all a wonderful few days, thank you very much!

  • "Lovely conversion of an old dairy."

Lots of space inside the cottage, tastefully decorated and furnished, and spotlessly clean. Great peaceful location whilst not far to travel to fabulous beaches and towns. The owners Sarah and Brian were very nice, welcoming and helpful. Local cheese, biscuits and cake left out for our arrival was appreciated. Highly recommended.

Sarah and Brian were on hand if we needed them, with plenty of advice on places to visit and were very welcoming. We would love to visit again and explore the area more.

The cottage was lovely, the kitchen well-stocked with useful plates, cutlery etc. And the cake and cheese left for use was a lovely and delicious surprise!

  • "We had a wonderful week's holiday at Sarah's cottage with out 2 young children and dog."

Sarah and Brian were the perfect hosts, and so welcoming and friendly, and fantastic with our children too. Brian took the children to collect hen and duck eggs in the mornings and the horses too. The cottage had everything that we could need, and the delicious local goodies were perfect when we arrived, and the cottage was spotlessly clean. We visited many castles such as Bamburgh, Alnwick and also Wallington National Trust property, which was brilliant for the children. Amazing beaches and boat trip from Seahouses to see the seals (no puffins sadly as they'd already migrated!) Kielder Water and the Bird of Prey centre there too was lovely. Bolam lake good for a walk locally. Also many walks and runs from the cottage itself. Huge THANK YOU to Sarah and Brian for making our holiday so lovely! Would highly recommend!

  • "We had a fabulous week at Sarah's cottage."

The cottage was very comfy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Brian and Sarah were excellent hosts and had lots of tips on places to visit and where to eat out. We loved meeting all the animals and collecting eggs from the chickens. The surrounding area is stunning with loads to explore from beaches to castles and Hadrians wall. Would definitely recommend.

  • "This lovely cottage is set in quiet surroundings with walks right on the doorstep."

The garden is well cared for, large and fully enclosed and perfect for dogs and children to play safely. It also captures the sun and is a great place to enjoy breakfast or have a relaxing evening drink or even a bbq after a day out. Sarah and Brian are so welcoming and friendly and had loads of handy tips about the best places to visit and park etc. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay and will definitely be back.

  • "We visited Sarah’s Cottage 3rd to 10th July, the cottage is absolutely beautiful and was originally the dairy cattle shed for the Angerton estate before been converted, the owners Sarah and Brian were lovely, genuine down to earth couple who made our stay very enjoyable."

The cottage has everything and more you may need to make it a lovely home from home staycation holiday. It is based in a good location to explore Northumberland and further afield. We enjoyed a lovely evening out in Morpeth, plenty of nice bars and restaurants to choose from. We would definitely recommend Sarah’s Cottage for a lovely stay and will definitely visit again in the future.
