  • "Wow wow wow."

From the minute we arrived at Sarah’s Cottage we realised we had hit the jackpot!! We have stayed at many places (with our spaniel) and this is top drawer for comfort, relaxation, style, presentation and enabled our complete R and R. On arrival we had welcome gifts, local gorgeous cheeses, a lemon drizzle cake to die for and freshly laid eggs (produced on site by the resident chickens). Brian and Sarah are fabulous hosts and their local knowledge of the best places to visit was a big help. There was everything you would ever need. The bed was sooo comfortable and the shower amazing!! Top quality throughout. We very much look forward to returning to Sarah’s Cottage very soon. John Jackie and Archie

Brian and Sarah the owners were so welcoming and thoughtful with a fire lit to welcome us, fresh eggs from the hens and wonderful Christmas goodies. More than that .. lots of basics to not just get you going but last the week! I loved this cottage and will definitely be returning next year.

  • "The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed."

It was cosy and warm in a quiet rural setting. Comfortable bed and lovely big bath towels. Sarah and Brian were available if we needed anything and provided a welcome pack including eggs, cheeses and cake. We had some great walks from the door, only a short drive to Wallington and the weather was good enough for a trip to the beach. We will hopefully be back again as soon as possible

House was spacious and had everything we could ask for. We had a lovely warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Brian and Sarah. Our dogs and little boy loved the garden and being able to let off some steam in a beautiful secure area was amazing. Little one also loved the doves outside the door and Brian was kind enough to take him to collect eggs which he loved. In short, a fantastic holiday which was so good we have booked for next year! Thanks so much for everything Sarah and Brian

From the initial lovely warm welcome we received on arrival to the day of departure Sarah and Brian were very welcoming hosts, full of local information about places to visit and local eateries for us to try out. We were greeted by a welcome pack of Eggs, Cake, Milk, Cheese, Biscuits’ and Fruit. Tea, Coffee and Sugar were also provided. The cottage is spacious, clean and warm with a very comfortable king size bed and a hot powerful shower in the en- suite. The cottage is the ideal place to return to having spent the day exploring one or many Northumberland’s attractions. Tony, Janet and Daisy (the pooch)

  • "Overall we had a great stay at Sarah’s Cottage and both Sarah and Brian were welcoming and helpful."

The cottage was spacious, well equipped, and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. Very good shower and the cottage was very clean. The owners kindly provided a ‘welcome pack’ of cheese, eggs, milk, and local cheese. The only thing we didn’t like was having to avoid bird droppings and feathers around the doorway of the property. This was because there were nesting boxes with doves attached to the wall near the doorway. This was not obvious from the photos on the website.
