  • "Nice property in a good location."

Immaculately clean, well equipped and good attention to detail. However, the shower in the main bathroom did not work (by pass valve diverting nearly all the water from the shower head) - surprised this had not been noticed previously or picked up during cleaning. Reported on Monday morning. Somebody attended promptly, tried a couple of things and concluded that a complete replacement was required. Said that somebody would come to sort this and to leave the key in the key-safe when out. Last we heard of it and the same shower unit was still there when we left. We managed with the ensuite bathroom shower only for the remainder of the week - not ideal with 5 people across 3 generations. This was the only blemish on an otherwise excellent experience.

  • "This is our second stay at Sable Sands ."

It's a beautiful house. The location is great for the beach , which is just a minute away . The house is large, clean , light and has every thing you would want for a lovely self catering holiday . We also received a lovely welcome hamper full of goodies . We would highly recommend and we will be booking again .

  • "The house was the best we have stayed in as we have stayed in Beadnell three times in the last few years."

There were five adults and two Labrador dogs and we loved the open plan upstairs. We would definitely stay again. Thankyou.

  • "Having stayed in Beadnell point before, this is one of the best fitted out houses."

Really well equipped kitchen, quality furnishings all made our stay very easy. Despite being school holidays, Beadnell was peaceful but with a nice buzz - great to see the Landing bar/cafe doing so well. We had an issue on the first day as the kitchen sink drain was not attached to the pipe - hence water ran into the cupboard below. We contacted Sykes who sent a maintenance team out within the hour (we did not need to stay in) who replaced the drain without fuss. That was really excellent service - thank you. Only niggle is that the main bedroom could do with a king size bed - this is pretty standard in other houses of this type.

  • "Fab property and Beadnell point is a great location for a family holiday."

Only tiny thing was we couldn’t find the code to open the bins so this could be more prominent - perhaps in the email with the key code. I’d also recommend that it’s a king size rather than double in the main bedroom for more comfort. Otherwise a lovely property with everything we needed. And the eggs, milk and other nice bits of food was a welcome touch when we arrived. Thanks

  • "This is the third consecutive year we have stayed at Sable Sands …it is such a lovely house !"

The location is great …so close to the beach but without the problem of parked cars everywhere . We stayed with another couple and we all found it comfortable and we loved the decor and carefully chosen artwork. While we didn’t actually cook much ( Beadnell has a couple of new eating places since last year ) the kitchen was well equipped . I called into the Seahouses office as we were passing to say the outside hose was leaking and wouldn’t turn on properly ( essential on my return from sea swimming ) and that same day a maintenance man arrived ..i was rather embarrassed to find I hadn’t been turning it correctly but he did acknowledge that a new tap was needed and he would be back on the Friday to do that . Good service all round !

  • "Our second stay at Sable Sands."

Excellent property and so close to the bay and the harbour. Beadnell is just a lovely place and with the Landing, the Craster Arms and even a mobile chippy along with a great village shop, what more could you want.

It is such a beautifully furnished and maintained property and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday and to the very highest standard. The location( straight onto the beach for a dog walk ) and grounds are fantastic and eating breakfast on the balcony was magical .We certainly would highly recommend it and hope that was just the first of many visits for our family .

This is up there with the best. Only comment would be that similar properties have a TV in each bedroom rather than just the one.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
