  • "This was our second visit to 'Dell Point', so we had some idea what to expect."

It's a spacious, clean, well appointed property with excellent views, ideally situated. Sadly, this visit was somewhat marred by the construction work going on at the adjacent property. The builders themselves were pleasant enough, and the work clearly outside the ability of 'Dell Point's owners to control, but there were times when we found ourselves disturbed by noisy construction work before 7am. I don't think this is acceptable, or something that we should be expected to tolerate. 'Staycation' holidays are not a cheap option, and it's a pity this must be considered when planning future bookings. Having said that, I can appreciate that coastal properties need to be maintained and renovated - 'Dell Point' being an example - and that this work needs to be undertaken when the weather is favourable. Just not before 7am, OK?! More positively, I would like to add that when we had an issue with the plumbing, calling the provided contact number for help was met with an immediate response, and our issue was quickly resolved. Many thanks for that. We have already booked up for next September (best out of three?!). Hopefully by then, the only potential issue will be the expected one: The Great British Weather.

Thankyou for your 100% positive rating of Dell Point and are pleased you have booked to stay again next year. We apologise for the concluding work next door which seems to have attracted more than the average number of contractors in finishing the project. Property Owner

  • "Dell Point is a fabulous property - we have stayed there twice now and enjoyed it on both occasions."

It is very well appointed and has everything you could possibly think you need in a holiday cottage. It is exactly as shown on the photos, it is very very clean and has a wonderful wee back area which is sheltered and lovely to sit out and enjoy the evening sun with a glass of wine. The layout is quite quirky as it is on three levels but this gives it a feeling of space and somewhere for everyone to enjoy. The front picture window looks straight out to sea and I never tired of watching the seabirds and changing light on the waves. The sunrise was breathtaking - crimson like you wouldn't believe. Seahouses is just a couple of miles away and has lots of facilities, Beadnell has a village feel to it and wonderful walks on the terrific beaches which just seem to go on forever. We have already booked for next year as we wouldn't want to miss out on what was an excellent holiday and look forward to enjoying another week in Dell Point. Just loved it.

Thankyou for taking the time to write such a positive review. We are pleased that you enjoyed the amazing view of the sea from the front windows It is good to hear we were able to provide everything you needed to make your holiday so enjoyable and look forward to welcoming you back to Dell Point again next year. • "Lovely house with a stunning view."

We had a very peaceful week staying here. House was very clean and had everything you could possibly want or need. The only downside for us personally was we found the master bed to be very firm, we do like a firm bed but this was a little too firm for us. Also there was a strange smell from the coast cupboard in the hall downstairs which was unpleasant. However none of this would put me off staying again, as the home is very nice and in a great location.

Thank you for taking time to write a review of Dell Point. We are grateful to the cleaners and the housekeeping service for doing a good job in keeping the property clean and fresh. This is the first time our firm mattress has attracted comment as all guests require different levels of comfort. We have an extra mattress topper available that could have been used if we had been notified as we really would like you to be as comfortable at Dell Point as we are. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future (with extra mattress topper!). Property Owner

  • "A fantastic property that is like a home from home."

All the modern comforts hidden inside a unique property with little hidden areas and light decor that makes it welcoming, airy and perfect holiday setting. The front view is simply stunning with the constant motion of the sea visible at all times. Its position with Beadnell is ideal ... rock pooling is only a 2mins walk away, the shop 3mins, the beautiful beach only an easy 10mins walk and local pubs even less. In all of our years of staycationing, this property is drfinitely in the top 3! Lovely.

Thankyou for your wonderful feedback. It is such a compliment to be included as one of your top 3 staycation properties . I enjoyed chatting to you and am pleased to hear that you enjoyed staying at Dell Point as much as we do. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
