“The accommodation was not clean which was a real shame.”

We had to spend 2 hours cleaning to make it safe to come in which considering the current climate was rather a surprise. With two young children and been shielding for months, let the property down massively. However we rang up and both the owner and Sykes were helpful. Although we were promised a phoned call back later in the week from Sykes which never materialised. Once we had cleaned, we started to feel more comfortable however it took us a while to unwind and relax due to the rocky start. We had a lovely holiday. The house was spacious and well equipped. It is positioned in a quieter end of the estate also. Great off road parking and not overlooked in the back garden. Great location for the beach and a nice claws view from the back bedrooms. Nice to wake up to every morning. It took a lot of follow up calls and chasing for Sykes to get In touch following an issue. Which I think was rather disappointing but each individual I spoke to were very friendly.

“Perfect base with brilliant beaches”

Brilliant base, clean, comfortable, spacious with everything you could need. Right next to the beach with lovely views from the bedrooms. Next to a pebbly beach great for rock pooling and a long sand beach that goes on and on is around the corner, next to a quaint little harbour. Would recommend

“Great Base to explore!”

SykesCottages were great to book through- will use them again. Great house in a quiet area, very comfy beds, 3 toilets, full kitchen, comfy sofa, TV, stereo and iPod dock. Limited Wi-Fi but we struggled to get any signal or internet on our phones to look up websites for where we were visiting so we were tied to the Wi-Fi a little and probably went over the allotted gb. Minimal other issues with house. Beadnell has beautiful beaches to explore! Little shop on way in you can't miss that sells the basics. Seahouses and Bamburgh just minutes up the road which we loved. Go to Neptune's for fish and chips in Seahouses!

“everything you need from a holiday cottage”

great location,could see the sea from bedrooms,very well equipped, nothing wanting, clean as a new pin & very welcoming, central for all northumberland attractions, love this part of the country.

“First Class”

The Cottage was first class a new built home on three floors very very clean it looked all brand new, the cottage had two off road parking spaces out front,the garden at the back was very nice and privert with patio dinning area and a shed full of beach things. We love Beadnell and the Cottage was just 10 mins from the beech and harber . we would defanatley reccomend this Cottage to our friends.

“Better than a home from home”

A wonderful clean and homely place we have stayed in for many years. Enough crockery for more than the house will hold. There was nothing that we were short of. Highly recommend this house to anyone especially those who have never tried self catering

“Happy Times”

A well decorated and provisioned holiday house, a real home from home on the edge of a lovely village and literally five minutes walk from the beach. We most enjoyed touring the area with it's many abbeys and castles, then returning home for a walk along the beautifully empty beach before dinner.

“Lovely property”

Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay here. Plenty of well presented, clean and comforatble space for a family. The location is great with the beach a short walk away. Just needs a bigger barbecue to be perfect!

The property

A wonderful holiday base, this cosy and comfortable semi-detached property is situated on a quiet estate in the centre of Beadnell, less than half a mile away from the dunes and golden sand of the beach at Beadnell Bay.

Well decorated and furnished throughout, the property has an enclosed garden area, ideal for children to play safely, and views of Beadnell Point, which is a favourite area for rock-pooling.

Several fabulous links golf courses and opportunities for watersports and sea fishing are all close by, as is the vibrant fishing village of Seahouses, while the historic market town of Alnwick, with its magnificent Norman castle and gardens, is also just a short drive away.

This is the perfect base for a relaxing beach holiday, or for exploring further afield on Northumberland's magnificent Heritage Coast!

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
