  • "Beds were very comfortable."

The bedding and towels were excellent. We were very impressed

  • "The house was in a great location very light airy clean & some nice touches."

All the beds had beautiful bedding & very comfortable. The house is creaky but wasnt a issue with us. Well equipped everything we needed. Did not like the wine glasses but that is just me i like a large glass & a flute for fizz. We put recycling out as per information & for some reason they drove straight past it so unfortunately didnt get emptied. Would definitely come back to High Sea View Beadnall is lovely & very accessible to the beach which is good for me & The Landing is lovely for food drinks & very nice friendly staff.

  • "A very comfortable base and ideally situated for easy access to the Beach."

Rear garden had a sunny aspect and was much enjoyed for morning coffee and afternoon tea when we were not out visiting the many sights of local interest. « High sea views  » were possible from the bedrooms as well as some spectacular sunrises, and the House was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. With quality bedlinen & a useful ‘Welcome Pack’ .. the only thing extra we would have appreciated was a pair of tongs in the Kitchen! Drawer!

  • "On arrival the fridge was so dirty I had to clean it before putting food inside."

The oven was very dirty and smoky on cooking. The table was so dirty it took a while to clean that and the mats. The table is to big for the space and no space to pull chair’s out let alone accommodate 6 people. Cracked and chipped crockery was found in the cupboards. Lounge and hallway were very dirty when walking around on them. A large hole in first floor landing is still not mended as it had been mentioned in the visitors book a few times. Main bathroom shower glass door was leaking water all over the floor. Patio door curtains were very dirty and paint work was chipped. Security alarm was flashing all the time. For the price,we would not stay here again. We have stayed in this estate before and had a brilliant holiday home, which was unfortunately available this time. The water pressure was very low and when the kitchen tap was on only a trickle off water came out, so paying for a 2 bathroom house was very annoying and expensive we couldn’t use 2 bathroom. On the positive side the bedroom beds and bathrooms were very clean.

  • "It's a very nice house in a great location for the beach."

It's well stocked with equipment in the kitchen in particular. The only suggestion I have for improvement is the TV in the living room - it was an old fashioned TV with a DVD player. We brought our own fire stick to watch interactive TV, Amazon Prime etc but it wouldn't work as the hdmi socket was dodgy. I would recommend a new, modern TV in the living room with built in apps.

  • "*Could only open one patio door didnt seem to be another key *No cafetiere Usual lack of a sharp knife in hol lets Dining table small for 6 *One of dining chairs has a loose seat which unfortunately trapped a 9year olds finger between when manoeuvring chair Spacious uncluttered house good for family group Back garden with grass great."

Despite number of houses was very quiet area particulaly good for sleeping Next to a large area of grass which was useful for play

  • "All perfectly acceptable but not many homely touches."

A bit soul less, and a squash to fit 5 around the table-we put in the extra leaf but it's too small a space for the table really. Kitchen equipment pretty sparse and expected washing up liquid provided not a teensy starter bottle. Could do with some more pegs. But very clean and everything worked :-)

  • "Overall the property was well situated, clean and."

nicely furnished.t The information folder and specifically the inventory needs updating - no egg cups for our boiled egg and soldiers and no other suitable receptacle!! The settee and jug chair need replacing - it had been refitted with new covers which were very dirty and had throws ( clean) over them but the frames were obviously broken. We commented about the parking made difficult by the permanent residents opposite in the visitors book but little could be done about that. Overall one of the best places we have stayed in and the excellent weather made it a holiday we didn’t want to end

No code to reset this. Took 3days to rectify the holiday after two sleepless nights. Holiday reined . Sykes directors did not respond to emails.

  • "The house was perfect for our three person family, having a bedroom each and two bathrooms."

The area was quiet and peaceful and central to that area, which was what we wanted. There were a few niggling issues which would have been easy to rectify. The toaster was on it's last legs. The kitchen knives were blunt. There was no flat plastic spatula. The inventory didn't match the physical. The lawn needed mowing. Would we stay again? Probably.

  • "Perfect for a family staying with Grandparents, who can escape to top floor bedroom!"

Would have been nice if en suite bathroom was on top floor but we didn’t find it a problem. Floorboards a bit creaky! We would definitely consider a return visit next year, our first visit to Beadnell and we loved it.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
