    “Brilliant holiday”

We stayed in this house the last week of August 2020 ...

We stayed in this house the last week of August 2020. Its a lovely house. 3 bathrooms well big and clean and modern. The bedrooms the same, very comfortable and slept well. Looking out of your bedroom windows front and back. You can see the sea, so you do get a sea view. The living room is very comfy and modern too. TV is very good. The kitchen I think was to small sorry to say. For a family of five, to feed them all, there wasn't much room to cook. And not much room when you have the dishwasher door down. With the rubbish there wasn't much room to recycle it. There was only one been. But if you can cope with this, it's fine otherwise. When you walk outside your home. Just down the road is the beach. It's just beautiful I loved it. The weather wasn't brilliant but it never stopped us. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday. And thank you for leaving a chocolate cake for us. We did enjoy it, a very nice touch.

The property

A terrific, semi-detached cottage set on a quiet estate, only a two minute walk from the vast, sandy Beadnell Beach, ideal for a family holiday.

This cottage offers comfortable accommodation of a high standard, including four bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, a separate family bathroom, additional ground floor shower room and and a sunny enclosed rear garden.

The sitting room has a light and airy ambience, with a warming open fire for a cosy atmosphere after a busy day on the beach.

The enclosed west-facing garden is the perfect location for an alfresco snack in the evening sun, overlooking the Cheviot Hills.

Beadnell village centre, with its pubs, church and convenience store, is a ten minute walk away.

The Northumbrian coastline is famous for its many castles; Bamburgh, Alnwick with its famous gardens, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth are all within a short drive of Beadnell.

Marine enthusiasts usually enjoy fishing trips around the Farne Islands, departing from Seahouses just a few miles away.

A lovely cottage for exploring Northumberland.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
