  • "Beautiful property."

Immaculately clean, well equipped and maintained and tastefully decorated. The rural location on the outskirts of a quiet village is ideal for exploring the coast and castles of Northumberland.

  • "The cottage is an absolute gem - everything you could wish for - local OS maps & guide books / reading books - nice evening games selection - comprehensive information folders - very central for exploring the Northumberland area - the decor is to the highest standard & is both thoughtful and very tasteful - a credit to the owners!"

The king size bed was very comfortable & the walk in shower nice & powerful - a very quiet location despite being so close to the A1. Sadly due to the weather we didn't manage to use the outdoor area. A nice friendly farm shop is very close with good meals all day. On a personal note I have mobility issues - blue badge car holder - I found the cottage very accessible - only two small steps on entry - then everything on one level - the walk in shower a pleasure to use. I would highly recommend this cottage with absolutely no reservations.

We have stayed in about 50 different cottages (mostly booked through Sykes), The Stables ranks top along with 2 or 3 others. Information pack, leaflets etc helped us plan our week, weather was great, boat trip to the Farne Islands to be highly recommended. Just 1 suggestion (not a criticism), my husband has problems with balance & it would have been helpful to him if there was a grab bar in one of the shower units to aid getting in & out of the cubicle..Top class property. Thank you

The property was well equipped, clean and we felt very welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. We used the wood burner several times and this made the property feel very cozy; we also prepared our own meals on several occasions and everything we needed was at hand. Belford is a pleasant village close to the A1, but not too close to hear noise. We visited nearby Bamburgh and Seahouses and also Wooller and Ford and Etal. Our week holiday went far too quick here.
