  • "Very comfy and cosy and spotlessly clean."

An ideal base for travelling around the North East and Cumbria. On arrival, owners had left chocolate biscuits, tea and coffee waiting for us. Just what we wanted. Would definitely use again. Thank you for our stay.

  • "As previous reviews, this cottage is highly recommended."

The interior is spotless and the decor is restrained but thoughtful. There is some slight road noise from the front but nothing to deter you from stopping at this charming place. The hosts, Carol and Bob are the perfect hosts, helpful but not intrusive and only add to the ambiance to this wonderful place. We will be back!

  • "21 Bearl View is a fantastic base to explore Hadrian’s Wall country with most of the main sites just a few miles of easy driving away."

Also lots of other interesting heritage sites very nearby . The fabulous Prudhoe castle is in the next village and a National Trust property Cherryburn is in walking distance. What is more if you fancy a night on the town the cottage has amazing access to public transport being on a main bus route and close to 2 train stations with it only taking 25 mins to Newcastle. Corbridge and Hexham are close too and both have some lovely places to eat and shop. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean and parking at the rear of the cottage row was easy. Good shops in Prudhoe nearby and very friendly owners. Last but not least is the view from the front windows , uninterrupted rolling countryside and a glimpse of the River Tyne in the valley bottom .Oh my days , the sunsets were unbelievable and will live long in our minds eye.
