After dinner, venture up the stairs to the twin bedroom and then onwards up the spiral staircase to the double bedroom to enjoy a restful night’s sleep. Both rooms boast sea views so you can rest assured that the sound of the sea will lull you to sleep. In the morning, you can enjoy an invigorating shower in the shower room before the day ahead and then sip your coffee on the balcony whilst taking in the sea air. The village of Burnmouth is within walking distance and is home to lovely coastlines, where in the summer grey seals can often be sighted in the sheltered bay. Nearby, the town of Eyemouth has a lot to offer, why not enjoy fish and chips overlooking the beautiful harbour? A visit to Gunsgreen House is also a must to learn all about this house’s role in the illicit smuggling of tea, tobacco, spirits and wine during the 1700s. Further afield, guests can enjoy visits to Berwick-upon-Tweed and even a day trip to Edinburgh to enjoy all the shops, sights and sounds on offer.
