The king size bed and sofa were very comfortable which is not always the case with holiday rentals. Will definitely return. Thank you

  • "What a find!"

My partner and I needed somewhere we could go, away from the hustle and bustle of city life to process our thoughts and recharge our batteries, The Barn worked a treat ! An amazingly beautiful setting in the countryside with views for miles around from every window, beautifully and comfortably furnished with a well equipped kitchen. Nothing to do but walk and relax then walk again, just what we needed!! and our two dogs loved it too. Cilla was the perfect host with knowledge of the local area and we can't thank her enough for her kindness, if you want a countryside peaceful setting this is the place to be. 6 miles away is Hexham a little market town where the locals are super friendly and even more super dog friendly with shops and cafes to browse round and the local pub is a short walk across a couple of fields where we were made to feel very welcome. We were only 2 hours away from home but we felt like we were a million miles away from our everyday life, it was just perfect !

  • "Our stay at the Barns was a pleasant one."

A well appointed conversion in beautiful surroundings. The storage of a big table-tennis table took us abit aback though. We would have loved to read, eat and have breakfast at a table near that window to take in the lovely view. Also to sit outside, a more private setting for guests and their dogs off-lead, because of the close proximity to farm animals, would be much appreciated. All in all a beautiful place, with some room for improvement.

  • "We loved staying at this property, the space was fantastic."

The furnishings were beautiful and comfy and there was everything we needed to make the stay easy and stress free. Beautiful horses and friendly dogs, we even had a peek at the puppies. Cilla is a great host and the location is just lovely. We will be going again.

  • "We had a lovely week in the airy, spacious, ancient mill conversion that is The Barn."

It has been sympathetically transformed into a comfortable living space, with super efficient log burner in the main lounge, double bath in the main bedroom and a small but up-to-date kitchen. A warm welcome from our host and helpful touches around the Barn made it a very enjoyable stay. (Note that the double bedroom is 2 floors away from the twin room). It is close to Hadrians Wall and not far from Kielder Forest, and we would happily stay there again.

Thank you for your comments. It was a pleasure to have you to stay in The Barn and I hope we see you again in future. Property Owner
