“A really lovely well presented house in a great location.”
“The cottage was fantastic it was everything we wanted and much, much more.”
There was nothing that we felt could have been improved on. Already looking at rebooking.
“Excellent cottage in a beautiful location.”
The owner met us, which was a nice touch. Booking and confirmation with Sykes very easy and straightforward. Would definitely use Sykes again. Many thanks Sue Taylor
“An Excellent Cottage in an Ideal Location”
This is an ideal cottage for up to four people in Corbridge. My wife and I stayed here, along with her parents, in July 2016 and had a wonderful time. The cottage is spacious, with a large kitchen, dining room, and sitting room on the ground floor, with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom on the upper floor. The sheets, towels, and furnishings are all first-rate, and the kitchen is well-equipped. There is even a dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer, as well as a half bath on the ground floor. The village itself is an ideal base for walking parts of Hadrian's Wall and other routes around town. Hexham is a short drive or bus ride away, but we found we could do most of our shopping in Corbridge itself. We would recommend Eastfield to anybody looking for a holiday in Northumberland. The proprietor is very helpful and bakes an excellent lemon cake.
“Superb cottage, great location.”
A superb cottage in a great location. Spotlessly clean, quality furnishings and just a walk away to cafés, pubs, restaurants, take-aways and food shops. Easy driving to countryside or Newcastle city centre, plus plenty of buses from your front door or the train station is only a short walk. We have already booked a return visit for later in the year.
“O M G!!!”
Absolutely stunning cottage - quiet, ultra clean and well appointed, comfortable, well equipped. Lovely Welcome Pack, including a home baked cake (really nice) and a good feel to the place. Corbridge is compact, well looked after, and welcoming, with loads of interesting shops and odd alleys and streets. The Roman history is extensive, and well represented. altogether a brilliant place for a break - short or long!!
“Great Cottage! Wonderful Village!!”
We visited the cottage for a week in December and loved it! It is a great size and is even better than advertised. We loved the cozy living room with gas fireplace and large dining room for meals. It was a perfect size for two couples. It is a beautiful renovation and the owners were very nice and helpful. We really loved the village. We were there for Christmas in Corbridge which was so much fun. All the shops were open and serving wine and treats. Everyone we met in the village was so nice and helpful. It was perfect all the way around. My husband wants to come back and stay a month! This is the man who usually doesn't even want to be gone from home for two weeks. We loved Northumberland. What a gorgeous area of England. Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Fort, Lindisfarne, Chillingham Castle, Durham, all wonderful. Northumberland is now our favorite part of England! Thank you for a great stay.
we visited this wonderful cottage on the 31st of October to the 3rd of November 2014.Our trip was just for a long weekend with friends, arriving at the cottage we were delighted to find the most lovely cottage we have ever stayed in,spotlessly clean, superbly equip ed an absolute delight to be there. The owner obviously takes great pride in the cottage. We cant praise this highly enough. The surrounding area has plenty to see and visit. Our weekend was a great success due to the beauty of this rental
Excellent cottage, worth every one of its 5 stars. Well furnished and equipped. Clean and comfortable. Will be returning to this cottage. Lovely welcome from the owner Melanie.
“Wonderful place to stay”
We had a brilliant week here with our friends. And an introduction to the North East, a beautiful area we didn't know very well at all. The house is very well set up for two couples or a family as each of the two bedrooms has it's own bathroom. The kitchen and utility have everything you need for cooking should you wish to, although there are many very good eating places in Corbridge. And the dining room and lounge are very spacious and comfortable. We had a great time thanks to the thoughtfulness of the owner. Great home made lemon drizzle cake when we arrived. We would definitely go back.
This cottage was wonderful! It had a lovely warm welcoming feel and the quality of the furniture and fittings, including fabrics and bedding were supurb. The location is ideal and is a very good spot for visiting nearby places.
