  • "River View Cottage is perfectly situated close to Corbridge centre."

The cottage is clean and well finished and has all the amenities you should need for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms have plenty of space for luggage and are well insulated and cosy. The kitchen is well laid out for preparing small meals if one of the many pubs and restaurants don't tickle your fancy.

  • "Hi there - this is a lovely little cottage in a great location for exploring Corbridge and the surrounding area."

Immaculately clean and very comfortable. The only thing we thought should have been mentioned in the description are the stairs ! Extremely steep with very narrow treads we approached them with trepidation. We were fine but think it would be an idea to mention them in the listing. Many thanks though - we had a great time. Best wishes James & Liz Denley

  • "Great little cottage in a super village with lots of amenities."

So easy to leave the car and get the train or bus into Newcastle where we had a great day out seeing the sights, shopping and finished off with a drink down by the river . We spent one day seeing the lovely seaside spots of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth, approx 45 minutes drive away but well worth it. On our final day we did a ten mile circular walk around Corbridge. So lots of variety - a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend. It was like three different holidays in one! We will be back!

  • "Nice period cottage in Corbridge contemporarily finished to a high standard."

Convenient location and very central to Corbridge for pubs, cafes etc. Northumberland coast about 1 hour to 90mins away. The Sykes listing says “designated” parking available. I think the listing needs to make clear you are given a free parking permit for the village by the owner for use anywhere in Corbridge; however it is a free for all and we were only able to park on the same street as the house for one night in seven having to leave the car elsewhere in the village or across the river in the public car park. Very difficult to load / unload outside the property where there is a double yellow line. The property does not have its own “designated parking”. This is misleading. The living room needs a comfy sofa - it is too small and please could Sykes / the owner check out the ancient gas boiler in the kitchen - whilst only minor, we kept getting feint whiffs of gas during the stay.
