  • "It was a lovely place in which to stay."

We have previously stayed in smaller cottages which although comfortable were less well stocked in the kitchen or lacking facilities. Tyler Cottage by contrast was brilliant with all we could have needed to have a wonderful holiday

Area, very comfortable, clean, warm, and we found it had all we needed for our stay, as my wife said, it is one of the best we have stayed in.

  • "A stylish and comfortable property, which is well equipped and very well located for exploring Hadrian's Wall, Newcastle and the beautiful county of Northumberland."

The property is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Corbridge, which has some quirky independent shops, several pubs and a micro brewery in the Pele Tower. A wonderful house in a great location!

  • "Elfrida was a welcoming and attentive host and this was reflected in our enjoyment of our stay in Tyler Cottage."

Her communication prior to our arrival was excellent, and there were lovely additional touches that we appreciated, such as the bottle of wine and fresh bread in the welcome pack. All facilities were of a high standard - cosy sofas, comfortable beds and quality linen and towels. A few small recommendations, and certainly not gripes - perhaps some additional utensils in the kitchen (cheese grater, extra knives, plastic gloves), and in the bathroom - a fuller hand soap dispenser. Altogether we had a delightful stay.

  • "Tyler Cottage is a great base for a stay in and around Corbridge."

There's plenty of space to move around, all the kitchen facilities you should need and it is well presented and very clean. The location is great, being a little removed from the busier parts of the village and importantly parking is a lot easier here if you're driving.

  • "Super cottage with excellent facilities and attention to detail."

There is a general atmosphere of quality and cosiness. Even the bookshelves contained books of quality rather than the odds and ends frequently found in cottages. The location is perfect, with the village centre just a short walk away and the Roman archaeology just a short drive away. The Black Bull was excellent both just for a drink and also for excellent food The cost for the week was very good value and contacts with Elfrida, the cottage owner, were easy and friendly. One of the best cottages we have stayed in overall Well done indeed!

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. I really enjoy having guests at the cottage and want it to be a welcome and cosy getaway. Property Owner

  • "A lovely comfortable cottage conveniently located close to the centre of Corbridge with its local facilities."

We enjoyed walking in the area and exploring Hadrian's wall and the Roman sites nearby -the highlight being Vindolanda Roman Fort . Nearby Cherryburn (a National Trust site) and Hexham with its Abbey(and free parking in centre) provided interesting contrasts. Tyler Cottage was spacious well equipped and comfortably furnished with some quirky features ranging from antique display china to modern lampshades. Being mainly self catering, we were thankful for a large fridge/freezer - a recent addition to a fairly compact kitchen area. The cottage had good roadside parking on the quiet close outside.

  • "Tyler Cottage is a beautiful house in a lovely location, close to Hadrian’s Wall."

We loved our week in Tyler Cottage situated close to the centre of Corbridge village; both house and village have everything you could need for an enjoyable and comfortable holiday. The house has been beautifully renovated but it is the personal touches of the owner in providing comfortable sofas and beds, quality and stylish bed linen and towels, unusual light and lamp shades and colourful prints for the walls, which make this house a home. We just loved it!

Located in a quiet street with parking and a short walk from the village centre, it was perfect. Corbridge has most basic facilities and is a good starting place for exploring Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Forest and the coast, with the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne within reach.

  • "We are new to renting holiday homes - Tyler Cottage met all our needs and more."

The house, built around 1905, has beautifully proportioned rooms, plenty of space, a light airy feel, comfortable sofas and bed and very nice bed linen and towels. Although the front garden is tiny it has a bench seat where you can sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. The neighbours were friendly and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. Tyler Cottage is a gentle 10 minutes stroll to the centre of Corbridge which has pretty much everything you need. (Lovely bread and cakes from Grants Bakery!) Corbridge is an easy drive to Hexham, Newcastle and the Northumberland coast. We saw lots of walkers and cyclists during our stay there. As you can see we were very impressed by Tyler Cottage and would be very happy to stay there again in the future.

  • "This is a really great sized premises for a small family or two couples right in the middle of Corbridge, with everything you could need for a short stay."

A really spacious and comfortable setting and far bigger than you first imagine when arriving at the front door. Our arrival was seamless with accurate directions and access instructions provided by Elfrida and a simple log-on procedure for the wi-fi. All the more pleasant was a small welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, bread and a lovely bottle of red wine. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone travelling to the Corbridge area for a visit. I have family in the village and will definitely be using it again in the future.
