  • "What a beautiful property!"

Woodlands Hall had everything we needed and more. We loved the homely feel of the home and cute additions including the paintings and decor. This was perfect for the family getaway and made our trip unforgettable! (We didn't want to leave!). Beautiful garden, perfectly furnished and all in all one of our most comfortable stays. Thank you.

  • "Lovely Property; well furnished and thoughtfully decorated."

It had all the facilities we needed and more. Local amenities available and is in a peaceful village setting. It probably undersells its location, as was a brilliant satellite base to various other places- Castles, Beaches, Zoos and multiple National Trust areas. The bedrooms are all large and spacious, very comfortable bedding; en-suite was particularly well equipped with a fancy all in one steam shower. Kitchen Space was amazing; and we actually spent most of our dining time in here rather than the Dining room. It does have AGA cooker.. but wont sure how to use it (more detailed information on how to use would be helpful).. though was still added bonus (as can be used 24/7 so would be fantastic in Winter) but there is an electric hob and dual oven microwave to use anyways. Northumberland.. fantastic place, friendly people and fantastic property which topped off our holiday thus overall excellent stay- Thank You

Thank you for the lovely feedback. So pleased you had a wonderful time and we look forward to welcoming you agan Property Owner

  • "All the other Sykes cottages that we have stayed in provided a folder with information about bin days, WiFi codes, what to do with used sheets and bedding and such."

Some info was provided in a scrap book but mostly in response to guests questions. The location was perfect for us, as all the places we wanted to visit were only ever about 10 miles away. Whilst the property is lovely and spacious, some of the photos of the property were a bit misleading as there is no garden, only a gravelled perimeter, and no driveway - parking is in front of the garage which faces the road. However, I would recommend this property as it has a very homely feel about it.

Thank you for your feedback and we are so pleased that you would recommend the property. The information book is temporary while the folder is being prepared. There is a laminated sheet with information re the bins/recycling. There is a driveway with parking for several cars in front of the house and garage. There are plenty of seating areas, the garden is gravelled and planted but there is no grass, as has been pointed out. The photos are to show the wonderful setting, with boundaries clearly marked. Woodlands Hall is an extremely well appointed, spacious property Property Owner

  • "The cottage was delightful but we would have benefitted from: - bin bags!"

some bathroom bins and the kitchen has no bin bag - information on recycling - for such a lovely cottage a coffee cafetiere would be nice - visitor book / information about local area / recommendations / general cottage information

Thank you for your feedback, we are so pleased that you enjoyed it. We will rectify the bin bag situation. There is information in the book re recycling, we will make this more prominent. We are working on an information folder. There is a coffee machine which most guests seem to prefer but very happy to add a cafetiere. Property Owner

  • "I have stayed several times at Woodlands Hall for a meet up with friends."

I absolutely love the property. The bedrooms are all large, which is great so nobody feels short changed. The bathrooms are extremely well appointed and the steam shower is a real bonus. The kitchen is a dream to cook in but also a great place to gather and the lounge is super comfortable. This house is so spacious!! It was great to get to the theatre in Alnwick, walk from the door or short drive to the beach. We will be back!
