The property

Eastfield Retreat is a superb property resting on the outskirts of Bedlington.

This disabled-friendly cottage, accredited by Visit England and Nationality Accessbility scheme, houses all the necessities for a week-long break within an area steeped with an interesting heritage, breath-taking views and unspoilt beaches.

Be invited in by the bright and airy interior which houses elegant furnishing and fixtures to offer a relaxing family getaway to Northumberland.

Look forward to spending your evenings within the open-plan living room, where you can curl up on the plush sofa and tune into the TV with a Sky package.

Beyond here is the amply equipped kitchen, where the designated chef of the group will be able to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal before settling down with the rest of the family for a sociable evening.

After a wonderful day exploring the area, drift off to sleep within one of the two elegantly presented bedrooms comprising of a ground-floor king-size bedroom and a super king-size bedroom which has wheelchair lift access and a well-appointed en-suite wet room.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture into the town of Bedlington where you will find a superb selection of pubs and restaurants, in addition to a range of shops and supermarkets for picking up any necessities.

If you can tear yourself away from this delightful spot, explore the area further by visiting the Northumberland National Park which is perfect for walking and cycling amid breath-taking open countryside.

Alternatively, brush up on the local history by visiting Hadrian’s Wall which was built to guard the north-west from the Roman Empire.

Further afield is the city of Newcastle upon Tyne which houses a wealth of amenities and attraction including Angel of the North while the nearby town of Blyth houses a sandy beach.
