This traditional, semi-detached cottage is located within the grounds of the owner's home, in East Woodburn, a mile from the popular village of West Woodburn in Northumberland.

The cottage offers character and charm, and is an ideal base for a family or friends wishing to explore this picturesque area north of the River Tyne.

Tastefully decorated throughout, the cottage has three comfortable bedrooms, a family bathroom and a convenient ground floor shower room.

There is a comfortable sitting room with a stone-built inglenook fireplace and a multi-fuel stove, while the modern and well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing sumptuous home-cooked meals to enjoy in the dining area.

The tiered garden leads you to the banks of the stream as it meanders down to join the North Tyne River, an idyllic spot to sit and relax at the end of a busy day.

In the nearby village of West Woodburn there is a pub and Post Office, while the historic village of Otterburn, is a haven for walkers and cyclists.

A short drive takes you to Kielder Forest and reservoir, superb for fishing, horse riding and nature watching.

Kielder Water and Forest Park, along with the adjoining Northumberland National Park, have been named as home to the largest area of protected night sky in Europe with The Dark Sky Park and Kielder Observatory being interesting places to visit.

The lively city of Newcastle upon Tyne is within a short drive, as is the Heritage Coastline and the Scottish Borders.

The lovely village of West Woodburn lies amidst the deep Rede Valley and was once an important resting point in Roman times for travellers on route to Scotland from York. The village hosts a welcoming pub and a Post Office selling basic supplies, whilst visitors can also explore the remains of one of the outpost forts of Hadrian's Wall that passes nearby. The historic village Otterburn, with its world-famous Woollen Mill and Shop is just a short drive away and is popular with walkers and cyclists alike, whilst the nearby, beautiful Kielder Forest affords fantastic fishing, boating, horse riding and nature watching opportunities.
