"We throughly enjoyed our time at Mary rose cottage."
We will be looking to book again and have recommended it our friends. We did have a problem whilst there but the owner solved the problem with the minimum of fuss.

"On first impressions the cottage looked light and airy and very nice."
The double beds are 4'6" with much narrower mattresses - uncomfortable.
A zip and link - 2 single beds that zip up to make a super king size would make the cottage more versatile and would be better for people over 6' than the double.
No litter bins or liners in bedrooms.
No liner in bin in bathroom.
Settees and chairs very low, with loose legs that needed screwing on to make safe .
Lighting in kitchen very poor - under cabinet lighting would be better or at least the same as the sitting area - working in your own light in kitchen.
No curtains into the conservatory - blinds in the conservatory or curtains in to the conservatory would give privacy!!
Blind or curtains on the high windows of the main door would help when sun is very bright as blinded nearly everywhere in kitchen including whilst eating at the table.
A ramp (portable ) and a rail will help with access - my daughter and I are disabled and struggled getting up and down the steep steps!

"The Mary Rose cottage was a delight, perfect peaceful location view of the sea, would recommend."
The only thing I would say it would have been nice to have an extra bathroom. Only because we had our elderly Dad with us and he did seem to monopolise it .

"The facilities were even better (we felt) than described, we used the BBQ, the play station plus the washing machine and dish washer came in very handy."
Crockery, glassware etc in abundance - a lovely place to stay.
The sofas were so comfy my hubby nodded off a couple of times!
Parking was great and the front lawn was a perfect place for our grandsons to run about on playing at being Knights!
The photos on the website certainly do not do the place justice.
Mary Rose Cottage was the perfect base for our holiday.
Walkworth beach was lovely and the boys loved exploring the shipwreck.
Alnwick town, castle and gardens were fabulous plus we found the amazing Cragside a half hours drive away (well worth a visit!).
We hope to go back next year as we still have so much more to do and see!

"The lodge is comfortable, and larger than it looks in the pictures - all 3 bedrooms are a good size, the main room is large and the kitchen well equipped."
The property has a large grassy area at the front and you can see the sea and Warkworth castle (worth a visit). Warkworth is small but attractive; Amble provides supermarkets and free parking, and is not much further away.

"Lovely tranquil spacious three bedroomed property, a couple of miles outside Warkworth at Eastfield Hall."
This was our second visit, the last one being 10 years ago. The property has been well maintained and is ideally suited to see the best of the Northeast.
We are members of English Heritage and National Trust and were able to make the most of our memberships, visiting Warkworth Castle, Warkworth Priory, Hadrian's Wall sites at Chesters and Corbridge, Cragside, Lindisfarne, Wallington, Brinkburn Priory and Edlington. Last time we visited we went to the Farne Islands, Banburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and up to Berwick. The grandchildren also loved time spent on the local beaches.
A great holiday... I am sure we will return again.

"We are repeat visitors to Mary Rose Cottage."
The setting is beautiful, location is great for beaches, castles and N.T & English Heritage sites. Excellent for families as spacious and uncluttered. In fact we would be hard pressed to find a better space for the 5 of us.
It is starting to look a little worn in places externally, but is in good condition inside. We will be back!

"Really lovely spot in glorious countryside."
The cottage was really spacious with plenty of room for a family. It was very well equipped but found the beds a little uncomfortable. Furnishings a little dated. We had a really wet cold week but the cottage was really warm. Lovely lawned area to the front, where we sat and watched the visiting hares and hedgehogs. A super place for lovers of the country.

"The property is larger than we expected with a roomy kitchen/diner/living area and 3 good sized bedrooms and bathroom."
There is a large parking area outside with room for 3 or more cars. To the front of the property there is a large lawned area, ideal for football and other games. It is situated on a quiet, pleasant site with views toward Warkworth castle and the sea beyond.
The lodge is well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses etc. as well as lots of books and DVDs.
There was no mention of wi-fi in the property details but there is a router, however the password that was supplied did not work.
Two other small gripes were that the boiler did not provide really hot water and there was no "guest book" where previous guests could leave advice about where to visit and places to eat.
I would recommend this property and would stay there again if we choose to holiday in this area in the future.
