  • "We had a great time at this lovely cottage, it had everything we needed and more for our break."

It was spotless and had modern furnishings. It has peaceful surroundings and was a great base for exploring the area. Due to COVID, we didn’t go to any of the busy attractions nearby but still found plenty to do for the kids. We would highly recommend the 2 mile walk (or drive) to Warkworth where you’ll find some great pubs serving food and an amazing beach, we had a great stay!

The owner was very helpful and gave us information before we arrived. The lodge was spotless for our arrival, the kitchen well equipped, there was plenty of outside space and good views across the countryside. It was centrally placed near to local attractions, the coast and for walking. An added bonus - on a clear night the skies are amazing.

  • "Miramar Lodge is a truly fabulous base to explore Northumbria."

The Lodge itself has absolutely everything you could wish for. Everything has been thought about in a practical way. The lodge accommodates 6 people and There are twice as many plates, cutlery, mugs etc so you don’t have to be constantly washing once you’ve used them. There are ample pots, pans, bowls, jugs, kitchen equipment etc. There are even picnic plates etc and a flask. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. It’s an absolute home from home. We have stayed here twice nice at different times of the year and have been thrilled both times. We would not hesitate to return.

  • "Being early , we were lucky enough to meet Dave and Deborah who were busy putting the finishing touches to the lodge for our arrival."

They gave us some tips on how to operate the dishwasher/washing machine/dryer,etc. They also advised us on where we might go, even lending us their personal ordnance survey map to assist us. A lovely touch was to provide a snack of cheesy muffins, ginger cake and biscuits to enjoy after unpacking. The living area in the lodge was spacious and colourful making for a lovely holiday atmosphere. The conservatory gave us a relaxing place to sit looking out on the lawn which was visited daily by an inquisitive wild hare often coming right up to the flower bed below the conservatory window. Delightful. All in all then, we enjoyed a lovely holiday in a meticulously clean lodge. We would not hesitate to recommend the lodge for anyone wanting to visit the lovely Northumberland coast. Many thanks from Marion and Steve, Lesley and Brian

The owners could not be more welcoming and have equipped the lodge with everything and more you will need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are all top quality, and lots of thought has been put into every aspect. During our stay the toaster stopped working and a new replacement was delivered within hours. The location is perfect with so much to do in the area, with this in mind there is lots of info inside the Lodge about local attractions. Fantastic, we will be back in the future.
