  • "Absolutely brilliant holiday home."

I contacted Paul, the owner, 48 hours before setting off on our holiday and he was very friendly, very helpful and all instructions were accurate. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, in a lovely garden with a beautiful immaculate interior. The beds were so comfortable, with plenty of pillows and the duvets were very warm. The home has everything anyone could wish for and is spotlessly clean, there was a lovely welcome pack and lots of information about the area too. We would definitely come back again to Sea View in the future. Would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you so much for the excellent feedback. We really appreciate it. Glad you liked the property. Paul & Lisa Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable well equipped property."

Lovely childrens bedroom. The ensuite bathroom was very small but the shower was good, just not much room to move around. Nice conservatory with books and games and the welcome pack was brilliant. Plenty of beaches to visit but we struggled with really awful weather and there weren't a lot of indoor places to visit locally. Would like to return in the summer.

Thank you for the feedback, appreciated it. Hopefully see you next summer. Paul Lisa . Property Owner

  • "It was a stunning property."

Contact with Paul, the owner, was timely in replies and very helpful and friendly. The property was immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely welcome gifts with milk for a well needed tea and coffee on arrival. The grounds were lovely, views beautiful especially looking towards the sea at the sunrise and star gazing too. Adequate parking for 2 cars right next to property. We had to put the heating on as it got chilly but the lodge was toasty warm within half an hour to have to turn it back off!! Everything we needed was there we did not want for anything. Great range of DVD's and board games which came in very handy as we were there during storm Babet so we were more than happy safe and cosy in the lodge. The lodge was superbly insulated so was extremely quiet even with the extreme weather occurring outside. Comfy furniture, spacious and felt like it was home from home. We were 4 adults and a 7 year old with lots of space. Beautiful could not recommend enough. Thank you so much for our perfect stay.

There were lots of board games for our kids to play with on rainy days, as well as space for them to run around outside. They loved having their own room with special dinosaur bedding too. Really close to a spectacular beach (Warkworth) and a short drive from all of the activities the area has to offer. We had a great holiday!

The interior was also very suitable for our mother who needs to use a trolley to help her mobility for independence, she did find it more difficult accessing the exterior maybe some additional handrails along the path? However we had a brilliant time, thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you felt the lodge met your needs. Lisa & Paul. Property Owner

  • "Excellent accommodation - very clean, with all the comforts of home and a generous welcome pack on arrival."

Lodge is located conveniently for exploring Northumberland's coastal towns & villages and lots of fantastic (and virtually empty!) beaches. Train station at Hipsburn (Alnmouth) about 10 minutes from the lodge gives easy access to Newcastle (about 30 minutes) and Edinburgh about an hour. Probably one of the best self-catering properties we've used in the last 20 years!

Thank you for the great feedback and for leaving the property so clean and tidy. It is appreciated Lisa & Paul Property Owner

The owner was very approachable and friendly, with good communication before and during our holiday. The lodge was well appointed, warm and clean. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage space. The en-suite is small, but perfectly formed. There were games, books and DVD’s aplenty. Plus you really do have a sea view! The lodge was close to a good beach and lots of sightseeing was just a drive away. Thankyou.

  • "Extremely comfortable lodge, exceptionally well maintained with plenty of equipment and cleaning products, if you needed them."

The lodge was very clean. Thought has gone in to the layout of the furniture, mirrors, hairdryer etc and it feels like home rather than a holiday let. Having a TV in 2 of the bedrooms was a surprise - we didn't use them but a nice touch if weather poor or mixed ages of party. WiFi worked well. Location is good for touring around and drive down to very pretty Warkworth is only a short distance - offering places to eat, the castle, fantastic beach and river walks. A week was not long enough for us.

Thank you for your feedback, All helps . We thought the tv in the bedrooms an improvement to Seaview as well. Paul Lisa Property Owner

We found the sink in the en-suite rather too small and so had to use the shower cabinet every day instead - but it is a very nice shower! We absolutely love the ice-maker! ...and the kitchen is very well stocked with just about everything you could want to use on holiday. Also, we liked the outside verandah and the conservatory - nice to have the choice. We were not to keen on he outside seating area on the grey gravel which we found rather dismal. The owner was very helpful both on the phone and with texts - much appreciated.

The property comes with added benefit of a washing machine and dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up.

Grab a book and head for the conservatory, offering a charming space for a bit of me-time, while the views of the garden and towards the distant sea provide a relaxing backdrop.

On a sunny day, you’ll want to sit within the mature garden, complete with outdoor furniture where you can set up for alfresco dining or an afternoon picnic.

As the evening comes to a close, choose from three impressive bedrooms to catch your rest, including two king-size doubles, one with en-suite facilities and a twin room, which would be perfect for children.

The village is also home to a number of pubs and eateries, so you can enjoy eating away from the kitchen, along with many shops where gifts and souvenirs can be purchased.

Get to know your surroundings further by heading up the Northumberland Coast AONB, where you will be able to meander along the sandy beaches, spot the endearing wildlife or cycle along miles of quaint country lanes to further appreciate the stunning location.
