  • "The Shieling is a lovely property in a beautiful location - would have appreciated a few more loo rolls - and better signposting for 'after dark' arrivals, but otherwise it's great."

  • "We have just spent a week at The Shieling."

On arrival we found the property to be very clean. It’s in a quiet location, it was well equipped, had comfortable beds, and for holiday accommodation it is quite spacious. Our breakfasts in the conservatory with views to the sea were a good start to the day! The lodge is well placed to visit lots of Northumbrian attractions. Good amenities can be found locally at Warkworth and Amble. The Shieling is definitely a find, a peaceful retreat after a busy day touring. We hope to return ourselves and will be recommending to friends. Lynda G.

Lodge was very clean and well maintained with everything needed for a self catering holiday. We were able to do all our cooking with no shortage of equipment or storage space. If I had to make any suggestions a couple more comfortable garden chairs would be appreciated.
