  • "The property is well looked after, with the owner providing all the small things whether for cooking, cleaning or maintenance."

The place was spotless considering that pets are allowed to stay there, ( and we dont like dogs particularly). Minor points, door to central porch needs catch sorting, easy job. Would suspect that ventilation in very hot weather difficult difficult due to sashes opening inwards. Would be nice to have a summer duvet thickness, as quilt lovely but very hot. Otherwise a pleasure to stay there.

  • "The cabin was lovely and cosy had a lovely stay tho only a minor problem like the lock on the door not the best and maybe needs looked at but everything else was in working order."

Lovely views from the table window in morning if sun is out… if clear skies at night time you’ll see all the stars.

  • "Lovely stay at a very comfortable lodge."

Spotlessly clean. Easy to warm quickly. Hot shower. Comfy bed. Plenty of storage space and well equipped. For directions Google Fram Park as the postcode will take you beyond the entrance to the park, which is poorly signposted. No recycling on site is a small minus (we took ours home). The park is located around 25 minutes from the nearest beaches, all of which are fabulous. Several major supermarkets within 15 - 20 minute drive. Recommended.

  • "Compact and comfortable with a good view over a field and beyond."

Lots of thought has gone into the Cabin which is well equipped for its size (note no WiFi) though it only has a small freezer compartment - smaller if not been defrosted recently. Not the owners fault, but the entrance to the Park is not clear as the writing is black against dark stained wood - very hard to read at night - if you get to Christmas Farm on left you have gone too far. Parking is next to the cabin - may be a bit tight if other cabin doesn't park well.

The cabin was a home from home with everything you could need for a perfect stay. Not only were we catered for but our pup was totally spoilt with treats etc. A perfect base to explore the Northumberland countryside. We would highly recommend if your looking for a bit of R and R.

  • "For its size easily the most comfortable Self Catering holiday we have ever used."

All the facilities were really clean, worked 100% and were easy to operate, the sofa was a recliner and the bed even better than ours at home. Nice quiet location and a dedicated dog park in village.

  • "A great cabin."

Lots of nice extra touches. Very comfortable bed, lounge and shower. We were spoilt with the wildlife as both a deer and barn owl visited each night! Lovely positioned picnic bench. Easy checking in process. We had a wonderful time. If you would like constructive feedback, the fridge could be a little bigger and maybe the decor modernising a bit but I’m just being picky! We hope to visit again.

  • "Log cabin was was a bucket list tick off, but perhaps shouldn’t of been on it initially."

We found it a little claustrophobic but had everything you needed for a short break. No washing machine or dishwasher. For the rental I felt a little disappointed, but all said it was okay as a base to explore this lovely area and come back to a quiet retreat.

It was on my bucket list to stay in a log cabin and it didn’t disappoint. The only thing that would have been better was a larger tv. I,m disabled so don’t always go out but it wasn’t a problem. Thank you for a lovely stat.

In the welcome book it says about not moving the reclining settee because it's heavy and will recline where it is but we couldn't get it to work, there is no BBC1 on the TV but that apart it's a great place to stay

  • "Cabin was really lovely."

Great area. Cabin owner had thought if everything and even left some biscuits and dog treats which was a nice touch. Our only feedback (not a complaint) was that the bed seemed old and was very (too) soft but that could be down to personal preference

  • "The accommodation was accurately listed and indeed was cosy, comfortable, warm and easy to heat, as stated by other visitors."

Despite some inclement weather we had a great break and would return in the future. However, we do have a few suggestions for improving the holiday: if you like to cook, bring your own knives; similarly, the fish slice could do with replacing; some more pot lids wouldn't go amiss; and finally, we couldn't get the cold water temperature control in the shower to work which meant we found the water uncomfortably hot (and turning down the water temperature control in the boiler didn't make much difference). Hopefully these comments won't put anyone off because it is a very relaxing log cabin which we thoroughly enjoyed staying in. One final point concerns the stated distance to the local village; it would be more helpful to advise prospective visitors that it is 0.9 mile to the local shops and village pub and if walking at night, it is highly recommended you bring a torch as part of the walk is on unlit road with no pavement.

  • "Collection of key was not easy as the collection point (local pub) did not show much interest."

We did get the key but promised directions were not given and we were ignored for ten minutes before we decided to find the place ourselves. The place itself was very good and facilities were much better than we expected. The original booking confirmation gave the wrong arrive and departure times which took a while to sort out
