  • "This was a very good choice for our party of elderly souls."

It is very well situated in the heart of Embleton, so the three inns were easily accessed. The owner quickly supplied missing items - wine glasses, water jug, additional key - when requested. We found the duvets a bit too warm and would have appreciated summer types, but these are minor quibbles. The house served us very well indeed.

  • "We felt the Holiday property covered all our needs."

Lovely location, private garden and parking for several cars . The house was Quirky with a Colourfull large lounge containing a large modern illuminated Gas fire and TV which gave a cinematic experience. Plenty of large bedrooms all with Ensuite and large family dining room. We felt the outside of the house was still a working in progress but didn't effect our experience. Would like to return at some point

  • "Excellent property for a large group."

Everyone having their own en-suite is great. Beds are really comfortable with good quality bedding. Kitchen and dining room have everything you need, lounge is very comfortable and the outside terrace and garden is a real sun trap. Close proximity to the beach with endless miles of walking, local shop and pub. We had an absolutely brilliant holiday. Would highly recommend.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again."

The top floor bedroom stayed very cold compared to the rest of the house and the person sleeping there felt the need to use an extra duvet. We even managed to sit out on the lovely patio and think that it would be nice to come and stay in the warmer weather so that we could enjoy the lovely garden. We were all surprised at how quiet it was, a perfect house to relax in.

Well equipped and located. Few things left behind by previous resident In bedrooms which wasn’t well greeted but owner was updated. The owner came a few times for rubbish and was very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend the cottage and we will be coming back. Thank you x

  • "This is a wonderful old house, full of character - yet bang up to date with a great kitchen which is well equipped; large fridge/freezer - everything you could need."

The bedrooms are excellent - beds comfortable and good linen - I love bath sheets and the fact that there was underfloor heating in the bathroom was a lovely surprise. No worries at all - everything absolutely perfect - thank you! It was good that you included wall to wall sunshine in Northumberland in November - that's service!

  • "Jubilee House provided the perfect accommodation for a ladies weekend away."

From the moment we drove up the private driveway and saw the impressive house and gardens we knew the house would serve us well! There were 10 of us in total and the house was spacious, warm and comfortable. All of the bedrooms have en-suites and the underfloor heating in the bathrooms was a lovely touch! The kitchen was really well equipped and we managed to cook for 10 with ease. On top of the house being perfect the location is second to none with the beautiful Northumbrian beaches a short walk way. We highly recommend this for other groups of friends and families.

  • "A fantastic place to stay for a larger group."

Easy to find, good parking and a great garden for children to play in. Inside, the house was really nicely set up with plenty of storage and good cooking facilities. The bedrooms range from being a good size to absolutely enormous and all feature an en suite bathroom. Alnwick is about 20 minutes away by car, and there is a lovely beach within walking distance. Northumberland Country Zoo is also worth a visit! We had a great time during the week we stayed.

  • "Fantastic stay at jubilee house."

Location perfect for exploring Northumberland. Loved the space in the house all the spacious bedrooms have en suite which was great. Just a great family house with great kitchen, dining room and kitchen. Set in its own grounds with a pub either side both did take away food. The play area over the road was well kept and the children loved having it on their doorstep. We had fantastic weather meaning we could spend a lot of time enjoying bbq’s whilst kids played in the huge garden. Towels and bed linen very good quality and the beds were very comfortable. The house was very well equipped and felt very homely. Would strongly Recommend

  • "A lovely house, that was just right for us."

It really made a difference us all having our own bathroom, especially when getting ready to go out! The rooms were all spotless with great space for an older property. I would have liked to have seen more in the information book, it was very basic. It states 15 minute walk to the beach, but no directions. It would have been lovely to see local walk ideas, places to visit, restaurant/pub information. We found all of these things, but a clear starting point would be so helpful.

  • "The house was lovely and spacious."

All rooms a good size and as a group of adults it was lovely that we all had en-suite bathrooms. The one pub is very close and did good beer. The second pub, a one minute walk away, is now an Italian restaurant, simple food and very friendly staff. 10-15 minute walk from Embleton beach. There is a little shop in the village. A hotel that does food all afternoon. We really enjoyed the terrace and garden at the back of the house. A peaceful spot to read.
