There is nothing inaccurate or misleading in the information provided on the property and to be honest our expectations were not particularly high on the property itself but we do agree with some of the negative remarks left by other people who have stayed at the property e.g. windows dirty on inside and some in need of repair (particularly the one in the room with bunk beds). Bathroom and kitchen have clearly been re-furbished in recent times and the lounge is comfortable. Overall though the property requires some major refurbishments (it has a late 70's / early 80's feel and I think possibly has some dampness problems - twin bedded room has lots of condensation on the inside of the windows and room doe have a slight damp smell to it even in a week where the weather and temperatures were high). General maintenance appears a little lacking e.g. cooker hood / extractor does not work, radiator leaking in bathroom, toilet seat loose etc..Would happily pay more per week for it if it was modernised to it's full potential. Location of property though is excellent with Eyemouth itself being a nice town and 5 minutes stroll down to the harbour and beach. The "Fast Blast" boat experience is highly recommended. The coastal path north to St Abbs & south to Burnmouth both from Eyemouth are excellent walks with contrasting scenery. Berwick is 20 minutes drive and certainly worth at least one visit, Holy Island 30 minutes drive and we would also recommend the Heatherslaw to Ettal Steam railway as another excellent day out. Many more attractions within easy reach so plenty to explore whatever your tastes.

Situated on the East Coast, just over the Scottish Border, and only eight miles north of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Eyemouth has been a bustling fishing port for centuries, and there are a number of local fishmongers still supplied from local fishing boats today. Narrow cobbled streets preserve the ancient character of this delightful coastal town, and there's a number of visitor attractions outlining the history of the area. Visit Gunsgreen House and learn some of the history of the town and the smuggling that once took place, or enjoy the Eyemouth Museum, fishing heritage centre and art galleries on offer. There are excellent golfing facilities available, with a clifftop course in town and a number of other courses in the area, while walks, cycling, bird watching and visits to castles and country houses are all within a short driving distance. Visit Coldingham Priory, Paxton House, Manderston House, Floors Castle and the magnificent walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed for an exciting day out.
